I have been working at Wipro full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Large Organization - virtually touches most of the domains in the Industry
Strong focus on technical and R&D
    Flexible working
    Not so rigid management
Anybody can be a star if the person knows his work or in some cases if he knows to talk

    Cons

Lags in employee satisfaction in terms of accolades, promotions- tough to go up the ladder
Salary wise - it is not the right choice as they are the lower end of the ladder but if the skills are urgent , they are willing to pay
    Relocation is a constant constraint
    Management is weak
The only concern of the business is to meet the margin ,irrespective of generating business by investing

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They should improve their employee satisfaction criteria and not do just pep talk and send mails of perception improvement
They should reward old timers within a certain range of newcomers and not just keep the old timer salary with a large gap with new comers
Invest generously for new business like their peers
Try to retain employees in locations where they were recruited and not let them get frustrated once their project is over
Diversify in all locations where they have office- currently concentrated in one or two locations only majorly and other locations have draught of projects

I have been working at Wipro full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Onsite opportunities if you are ready work on any kind of projects without considering location.
    Medical Reimbursement policies
Lot of employees on bench, so you can self-study
If you are billable you will get 100% variable.
If you have good relations with superiors you can work till retirement.

    Cons

Company will relocate you without considering your situation.
Central Workforce management (not location based RMG) will cause lots of frustration once you get released from a project.
Be ready to work under tremendous work pressure.
Rating procedure is not transparent so even if you work hard be ready to get low rated if you have poor relations with manager.
Passing UCF Exam is mandate for staying long term in this company.

I worked at Wipro full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Employee friendly policy, flexible timings, work life balance.

    Cons

Wages are less compared to peers moreover their WASE program screwing engineering graduate career. Its common in wipro that an engineer of 4 years of experience is paid less than their WASE trainee.
Variable pay is the biggest issue in wipro if u r not billable you will lose 100%of ur variable pay.
Manager and HR are showing profits by cutting costs rather than by growing buisness.

If you want to join wipro then please come after acquiring huge salary with a feeling that now you are planning your vacation in wipro.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want wipro to survive then please shut down your WASEprogram. Else make engineer salary equivalent to WASE trainee.
Senior management should see what is happening at lower level and please earn profit by growing buissness rather than cuttting operational cost.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
