I have been working at Wipro full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Has some excellent people and is able to attract talent in international markets. Compensation is decent, bonus payout calculation can get complicated. There are avenues to grow

    Cons

Attrition. Lots of people leave because they are not assimilated in the company and feel left out. If you have a region or account that's challenging, you lose out in the larger scheme of things. Rewards performance, but completely ignores potential as measure of potential is revenue generated. But you grow if you are close to people who call the shots. Average hikes in USA are meagre...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at people as long term assets, not short term trades. Leaders to spend more time with people on the ground who make a difference and listen to them.

    Pros

Company Values and Ethics are Strong and Social. Good if you work onsite and/or in higher positions

    Cons

Very Slow Salary Growth. With Very High Discrepancy in salaries of managers and developers.
A Developers will have stagnancy in long run.
    Heavy workload on developers.
Employees need to be multitasking and should be able manage without company's training or help to have a good time in Wipro.

I have been working at Wipro full-time

    Pros

The work from home policy is a nice benefit, but may not apply to all branches within Wipro. Health benefits is actually pretty good, but not amazing.

    Cons

There appears to be a lot of employee turnover, which is never good for moral. Being Indian owned makes it challenging due to a clash of cultures and values. And being that Wipro is a very large company, one sometimes gets lost in the fray.

Former Employee - Project Manager in Detroit, MI

I worked at Wipro full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    - Good company for global presence
    - Good projects, Technology and clients
    - Good to start the career (at offshore)

    Cons

    - Long term onsite with no career growth, so I wont recommend it to anyone who is looking for long term onsite or looking for settling in north america
    - onsite salary is sub-standard

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Run the company as Global organization, and treat employees in north america as local employee instead of onsite temporary workers
    - It doesn't mean that employee don't have to grow or get salary hikes if he or she is in onsite
    - Give onsite employees salary (specially in US) as per local standards, so that people will stay with company for long term
