I worked at Wipro full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I am finding it difficult to come with many strengths for this employer. The only thing that comes to mind is the variable compensation for consultants with a revenue target.

    Cons

Wipro is a very short sighted company that does not value its people. Training was non-existant and the organization felt unstable. Huge amounts of productive time was wasted because of ineficient processes and a lack of investment in key systems. Many projects required double the amount of manpower than should have been required becuase of quality control issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wipro needs take a longer term view of its business and invest in people and infrastructure. The company needs to change is brand image from providing commodity services to value-added services.

I worked at Wipro full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

OK medical insurance for employees working in US .

    Cons

No Hike for people working in US(for employees who are sent from INDIA to US on projects ) , I worked for 3+ years in US and No hike was given .
Very unethical HR policies , while leaving company I gave 1 month notice period and all required knowledge transfer to team members , in spite of that both Manager and HR denied to give experience letter.
Some of the policies are more towards exploiting employees to MAX extent .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better HR policies which are fair for both employee and employer .

I have been working at Wipro full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good learning. You will get chance to work on different technologies and different environments. Job security . Onsite opportunities

    Cons

Less pay. Policies are there for utilizing employees. On onsite the salary will be given based on on LCA not based on your performance and position. No hike if you are at onsite. Company thinks the company is giving you a favor by sending onsite. Too much of politics. You cant get promotion if dont know how to butter your manager . Not a place to settle down. You can get brand name from this company. New policies are getting added which forces existing employees to leave company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on existing employees rather than attracting new employees
