    Beauty is only Skin Deep

    Senior Program Manager (Current Employee)
    London, England (UK)

ProsExcellent capability of disguising little capability for high capability.

ConsDisorganized. Archaic and antiquated processes. Bureaucratic to the point of impeding operations. Poor leadership. Capabilities are superficial and only a facade. Tenets on the company business card are only for show and are not practiced in the company. Integrity is a buzzword but not actually practiced. Indian-heavy/centric management with a bias to promoting Indians. The saying in the company is, "In the end, it will be all right. If it is not all right, then it isn't the end." Pretty much sums it up. Poor delivery, poor quality, missed timelines, blame culture. No accountability of senior leaders. Senior leaders tend to stay in India to include the Senior Delivery Heads. Little presence on-site where support is needed.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet in touch with what is actually happening in the company. Stop living in ivory towers.

    Manager (Current Employee)
    London, England (UK)

Prosdoesn't pay a decent salary, the different between a lateral hire & a employee can be huge. Basically there is no standardisation of salary.

Conscompany will lot of inbuilt talent and let's you choose different roles that you want to play

    Bad Salary, they

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGood company for freshers to pick up skills and learn the job. Opportunity for those who want to learn and show interest to take responsibilities.

ConsBad Salary options, Instead of developing existing employees, they seem to spend more time and money on hiring new employees and short term contractors. Not a good long term strategy.

    General incompetence

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    London, England (UK)

ProsThere were no pros working here. From day1 'induction' which involved waiting around for 3 hours for a PC to month 2 when told job didn't exist to month 7 when I quit.

    Consgeneral incompetence across the board.
Lack of integrity in HR matters.
Appalling culture - regular angry shouting matches heard in meeting rooms.

Advice to Senior ManagementTo the board - sell the company to an organisation that knows what they are doing.

An India headquarters company which pretends to be global.

    Client Partner (Current Employee)
    London, England (UK)

ProsSome good capability and service offerings
Solid delivery of fixed-price production support engagements

ConsCompletely managed out of Bangalore; account execs have little real control.
Your location and nationality will influence your progression - natively if you're a Westerner (this is not sour grapes - look at the Executvie and senior leadership team)
Executive don't understand their customers business

Advice to Senior Management1. Employ Western executives and real country / geo structures or stop pretending to be global - make up your mind.
    2. Get to understand your customers business or become increasingly commoditised. See point 1 - they are related.
    3. Apply your sales assessment process or something similarly to your executive leadership - and then start changing them.

    If not Indian, avoid

    Consultant (Current Employee)
    London, England (UK)

ProsNice co-workers, some nice clients to work for

ConsIf you are not Indian, forget promotions, nice jobs and salary hikes. Do not accept a position of responsibility, since the Indian HQ based managers will make you the scapegoat or claim all the credits.
Main claim is integrirty, but that is lip service by highest management, middle managers will stab you in the back.
    HR is a laughing stock.
There is no knowledge of local laws and regulations.

Advice to Senior ManagementFire all HR staff and outsource it to an international company.
Managers caught lying should be disciplined.
Stop discrimination on country of origin.

Awful. Zero support from management, managers more interested in their own career progression.

    Director (Current Employee)
    London, England (UK)

    ProsNone. Too self interested managers.

ConsToo many to share here. Just avoid Enterprise Architecture.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop only thinking of your own career and stop screwing staff and clients.

    Poor, blind leaders....avoid this place

    Senior Manager (Current Employee)
    London, England (UK)

Prosno need to show your face to anyone while you're on bench i.e. work from home a very accepted option
Freedom to contribute intellectually; it is not the preserve of Partners only

    Consmyopic, ostrich mentality of leadership
constant sword hanging on head (read "billability")
the leader of Consulting has little / no consulting background
no way of creating a bank of good work - you live for the day and try to survive..

Advice to Senior Managementhow on earth can senior leadership be so blind. you don't need someone to give you advice on Glassdoor.
Consulting gets differentiated by brainpower and brainpower needs to be preserved and respected - do you really do either of this?
