    I worked at WithumSmith + Brown full-time

    Pros

A great company that allows for a work/life balance. There are plenty of fun company sponsored activities. They are up to speed with technology.

    Cons

Busy season demands several hours of overtime. However, for the accounting industry, this is a standard so I can't even complain about that.

    Advice to Management

Be careful of any cliques and the gossip mill. Also, for the admins, have a clear career path visible and present. Having a visible goal presented to an employee provides a lot of motivation.

I have been working at WithumSmith + Brown (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly staff. Occasionally have fun work functions.

    Cons

Overworked. Compensation not adequate. A feeling of underappreciation has cause a lot of people to leave. Partners need to open their eyes and appreciate and correctly compensate to keep the staff that are worth keeping.

I have been working at WithumSmith + Brown part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Office culture is great. They provide employees with work-life balance. Flexible with hours. The pay is good.

    Cons

The interns work more for administrative such as assembling paperworks, mailing, updating software rather than hands on training on taxes. Unless you ask, maybe they will let you handle a more challenging work, something you can really learn from.

    Advice to Management

I wish you provide a more hands on experience to interns and not just do something where you need help at. A rotational experience from taxes to audit will be a great experience and is something that will truly benefit the intern. Giving interns some type of responsibility like projects or shadow a staff will also be a good experience.

I worked at WithumSmith + Brown full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Worked at one of the smaller offices and enjoyed the experience.

    Cons

Sometimes working in a smaller office limits your learning experience. You learn to do many different things, but don't get the chance to specialize in one.
