A great place to work

Research and Development Physician (Current Employee)
Minneapolis, MN

I have been working at Wolters Kluwer full-time for more than 8 years

ProsWarm fun environment. It runs as a true meritocracy and you are given freedom to broaden yor work into a number of different areas as you have interest and capacity

ConsThe salary is lower than at other similar companies for the same job. Upward mobility can be hampered because people don't leave their jobs very often

Advice to Senior ManagementDevelop the in house talent and consider facilitating the movement of star employees into divisions or units for upward mobility

Overall my experience has been great. I've had many opportunities for growth and improvement.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Wolters Kluwer full-time for more than 10 years

ProsThey have a great benefit package which includes insurance, 401k matching, a very generous PTO schedule. There is a lot of promotion from within the company.

ConsRight now there has been some senior management brought in from outside the company and the don't necessarily understand the full complexity of what the company really does.

Technical Support Representative

Technical Support Representative (Former Employee)
Chicago, IL

I worked at Wolters Kluwer full-time for more than 3 years

ProsI have nothing but great things to say about working here. I started my Technical Support career here and learned a great deal of valuable skills. The customer service call center that I worked in had the best team. Although most of the employees I worked with are not there, the Team Leader who shall remain anonymous, was super nice, but firm enough to get your butt into shape.

ConsNone that I can think of.

Valuable and Engaging

Summer Analyst (Former Employee)
New York, NY

I worked at Wolters Kluwer as an intern for less than a year

ProsWorked with a wonderful team that was full of amazing individuals who have had experience in management consulting. Felt like the work I did was valuable to the company's business strategy. Participated and given opportunity to present the work and analysis I did, even as an intern. Insight into type of work that consultants get to do.

ConsDid not have structured return offer system for summer interns.

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest more in talent acquisition. With the current summer program, be sure to be able to take in at least 60 percent of the interns for full-time positions.
