    Pros

Company is small enough that one person can make a difference. Colleagues are good people. This is a company with a heart.

    Cons

Pay doesn't lead the market; would say it's average. Long-term goals are clear, but execution is a constant problem. Some managers interpret the work rules differently than others.

    Advice to Management

Be more decisive, and reach decisions more quickly. Knock down the wall in the C-suite.

I worked at Womack Machine Supply full-time

    Pros

Friendly company environment. Well maintained and clean facility. The other employees are generally happy and enjoy coming to work every day. The company culture and the "Womack Way" is strongly encouraged.

    Cons

Entry level sales staff must agree to a mobility agreement which leaves the employee in limbo as to their future living situation until only a couple weeks before moving is required. New employees with families might find this difficult.

I worked at Womack Machine Supply full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

One of the best product lines in the industry; fluid power is fun; variety of customers and products keeps the job interesting and challenging; great people; do business with very high ethical standards; solid income potential; excellent training.

    Cons

Too much time spent doing non-selling activities (reports, expediting, customer admin, quoting, etc)...this limits the time we had to sell, thus limiting income potential. Commission structure not as good as it use to be. Doesn't seem fun to be a manager.

    Advice to Management

Take career advancement and growth goals more seriously. Higher commission rates.

I worked at Womack Machine Supply as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Solid learning experience - Friendly co-workers - Some travel - Paid - Flexible - Apolitical environment (free of politics)

    Cons

    - Slow paced - Cubicle atmosphere - Older computer systems

    Advice to Management

This is a great place to work with some of the friendliest people I've ever met. My only advice is to challenge and stretch your interns more. I know I was capable of more than I did while I was working at Womack; if I'd had more on my plate, I know I would have impressed Senior Management even more.

I have been working at Womack Machine Supply full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Represent quality product lines and manufactures

    Cons

If you did not graduate from Texas A & M or if you did not work for Nokia, no chance for a management position. Keep looking over the fence. What is preached on the videos is pure hype.

I worked at Womack Machine Supply full-time

    Pros

*Most employees are genuinely kind and caring *Good training programs

    Cons

*Most of Executive Management is concerned with their compensation over employee welfare (except the owner - Mike Rowlett). *Don't be deceived by the spins about promoting "positive company culture" and "Womack Way" Unfortunately, this company is like most others: Executive profits are the primary focus *Terrible place to work if you like a flexible office environment: definite "face-time" culture and "old school" management styles

    Advice to Management

Provide consistency in how employees are treated. Examine your work environment and bring it into the 21st Century.
