    Pros

Decent benefits and pay. Fairly clean place to work. They make cabinets so it is not a high pressure production atmosphere like in automotive.

    Cons

There are many Amish who work there and they are frequently hostile to anyone not Amish. Almost no room for advancement. Stagnant wages. They have not invested into upgrading their equipment so much of that is old and in constant need of repair.

    Advice to Management

Give employees better benefits and pay. Diversify the work force. Hire from within for supervisor and management positions. Buy new equipment.

I have been working at Woodcraft Industries

    Pros

Woodcraft Ind is a good place to start off in the world of manufacturing. The processes are simple and knowledge is quickly picked up. It is a fast paced industry so there is no getting complacent with the work.

    Cons

Infrastructure support of quality systems and documentation needs reinforcement. Knowledge of how management systems work and are completed are not documented and is at the employee's ability to pick up and learn. Never enough time and energy putting re-occuring issues to rest.

    Advice to Management

Spend time on tackling the root cause of issues and implement permanent solutions.
