    Pros

Great Co-Workers and parking wasn't an issue.

    Cons

Management only helps management, stuck in the 1950's.

    Advice to Management

    Get with the new age!

    Pros

Close to my home. Love my coworkers.

    Cons

Pay is very low. Some people make only $12 per hour after 10 years. Raises don't really exist and bonuses are given sometimes. The worst problem is communication on corporate and local level.

    Advice to Management

Talk to your employees. When we suddenly don't qualify for a perk or raise tell us why. Tell us when we do a good job. When we have benchmarks to meet, for goodness sake tell us what they are. All we hear is we didn't make them. Encourage growth in your employees. Now if we ask for additional responsibilities you say it looks as if we are not needed because we obviously don't have enough to do.

I worked at Woodgrain Distribution full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Woodgrain Distribution gives you plenty of opportunities to grow in the company. Woodgrain is very family oriented. They are always helpful in every area.

    Cons

Woodgrain's warehouse was not up to par. The warehouse was not insulated with air or heat. So we had to work in the freezing cold or the extreme heat. It was constantly wild animal running through out the warehouse.

    Advice to Management

Woodgrain Management was very understandable. They put you first as a employee. If they see you struggling in a area they will get training in that area.

  6. Stable but low pay rate

    Pros

You learn a lot and get to work over a broad spectrum of responsibilities. The company is stable. Great work atmosphere. Family oriented.

    Cons

Low pay rate. You are often doing the job of at least 3 people.
