    Pros

Great place to work if you like working with people. The clients are very loving in most part. Flexible hours and many extra hours if you have the time.

    Cons

The employees do too much for the pay received. When they day ADLs, it can be from housekeeping work such as cleaning, cooking and more all for $11 to $12 per hour.

    Advice to Management

Pay the employees a little more

    Pros

Health benefits vacation leave, sick leave and retirement plans

    Cons

Horrible service towards patients and employees. They work their employees to retire early or go on workers comp from overwhelming work loads. Please save yourself!

    Advice to Management

If you want higher volume treat your staff the way you would your "numbers"... We are not cattle and neither are your patients.

    Pros

Extensive clinical experience. Experience completing endo, including molar endo & retreats. Opportunities to place implants and crowns if you can talk your patient into paying for treatment.

    Cons

Working in the public health field is difficult. Patients are expected to wait 2-3 hours for appointments some days. Patients start appointments upset with residents, despite the residents not being able to control patient wait time. The lab is very hit or miss (more likely it's a miss). There is great potential for this residency, but it's is extremely disorganized and no one seems to want to be here.

    Advice to Management

Management should set up some kind of system that rewards employees that come in on time, work hard and do not complain. Or give some kind of punishment to this employees that simply refuse to do their job. It is difficult to stay motivated in such a hectic work environment.

    Pros

The hospital Nursing supervisors were awesome! Higher education was always encouraged.

    Cons

Most of the ED Staff nurses were rude, lazy and didn't like new nurses..especially the nurses that actually wanted to work! Too much gossip ! When I had an argument with a nurse who was upset that i presented a patient to the critical room , who was having an actual heart attack, I knew that it was time to leave! Also , the critical room beds were empty at that time. The nurse actually placed the patient back into the Acute section the doctor was livid!!

    Advice to Management

Stop allowing nasty nurses from bulling the newbies!

    Pros

Woodhull ED is a great place to work for. A lot of learning opportunities. Managers are really close to the staff, and vert willing to assist. Union available and may benefits like pto and pension plans

    Cons

Lazyness is common. People often get away with doing the bare minimum. Base pay is lower than average salary in NYC. Great job security

    Advice to Management

Work on raising salary. #1 reason people leave is to get better pay somewhere else.

    Pros

They have good benefits but you can only get promotions if you "suck" up to your boss and become their lackey. Their is a lot of opportunity to attend trainings.

    Cons

Very stressful and you deal with bureaucracy. Management does not always address your concerns and they work you very hard.

    Pros

The only pro is that I am civil servant and I get free medical and a pension on the end. The nurses are good at the hospital and friendly.

    Cons

Management do not like civil servant employees and African-Americans all they want is Hispanic. This is not the place for people that have worked In the private sector; and have a mind of their own.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue stop thinking this was the first job for people
