I worked at Woolworths Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Majority of people working in this business are good people, senior management does not care about their people.

They develop and train people to do a roll but look outside the business for management positions.

    Advice to Management

If you are going to put in place all the training programs, promote from with in.

    Pros

salary fun people time place culture workload money benifits pension discount is a great place and wonderful to work with

    Cons

What let he organisation down was the management of old stock and the need to clear it through. They were to focussed on the margin of new stock that sold easily anyway.

    Advice to Management

Control stock costs and watch the bottom 20% sellers as much as the top 20%. The cash old stock ties up prevents buying highermargin better selling stock.
