Woori Investment & Securities Asia Reviews
Pros – Decent benefits/salary. Good work/Life balance for some teams or departments.
Cons – The company was merged to another Korean securities firm. Organizational restructuring is likely to be followed soon. Very beauraucratic culture
Pros – Job security. Iron rice bowl is still in effect at Woori.
Cons – Too much internal politicking and kowtowing. Analysts in research center are conflicted, trying to serve multiple masters. Result is extremely conservative, consensus-hugging, overworked analysts churning out mediocre work. Despite that, there are a few good guys scattered about doing decent work.
Advice to Senior Management – Give your workers more flexibility and let them pursue their individual initiative. Stop trying to micromanage everything.
