    Pros

What's great about Work Market is the dedication and focus that your coworkers display every day. They're casual and funny, but very serious about disrupting freelance enterprise business. I came in as a junior position and have felt like the team always valued my opinions. I'm always welcome to approach either of the Jeffs and ask for business advice or opinions on any subject. Definitely would recommend.

    Cons

Your fellow coworkers are passionate, smart, and opinionated. They won't be afraid to say exactly what's on their mind. But to be honest, it's refreshing and cuts to the chase. The culture here is very blunt.

You might also spend some weekends and late nights working to get things done, but to be fair the leadership is very frank about needing to take vacations and no one will ever ask you to work weekends.

    Advice to Management

On boarding new hires should be better. While I think there's something to be said for jumping into work, we could use a little more care with newbies.

    Pros

Flexible work hours, ability to work from home, very hands on. Great place to come to as a junior engineer as it's very easy to learn every element of a cloud-based app. Management is very transparent and communicates pretty well. Nice people.

    Cons

Can be difficult to understand the product and the company's focus.

    Advice to Management

Continue to dialogue with your employees.

    Pros

Great and I mean great employees are working really hard at Work Market to make the product and their customers successful.

    Cons

Jeff Leventhal is an outright lier. I am shocked that he is able to fool really smart investors and board members into believing that he really cares about them and especially about you the employee. Rest assured the only person Jeff Leventhal cares about is Jeff.

    Advice to Management

You need to do a better job asking questions of your CEO.

    Pros

Great people, lots of talent and energy, enjoy seeing everyone every day. Tech and product culture is legit. Senior Management are super smart folks. Great learning experience. I love that we have real customers and real business and are not some consumer hype train.

    Cons

Hate the office location. Sales team and/or customers have too much direct influence on the product and it feels overly complicated and incomplete. Also buggy. The Wi-Fi sucks -- can't barely have a basic video conf. Having two offices causes problems sometimes. Very few "fun" perks. Air conditioning is always cranked up to max. Folks used to work insane hours back in the day but this has gotten better. CEO says "crush" a lot.

    Advice to Management

Fix the Wi-Fi and the air conditioning. Take the team out drinking more often. Get a better office.

    Pros

The company has a great vibe. It’s both smart and open minded and there are no barriers between functions or between senior and junior members. Everybody talks to everybody else and everybody seems to enjoy working together. Interns are full-fledged members of the team and even the executives show a genuine interest in them.

    Cons

Although the engineering team is split between 2 sites, communication is still very good because of investments in the right tools and a continuous search for better ways of communicating.

    Advice to Management

They're already doing a great job.

    Pros

We're in the business of connecting people looking for high quality work with available work. That is a noble calling. Really great people throughout the organization, including a stellar, smart management team. Our CEO and COO have tons of experience in the startup world. They really know how to grow a company from the ground up. The platform runs on the latest enterprise software stack and we are prepared to scale massively. We've attracted some of the best designers, developers, sales and support people.

    Cons

The only cons are some of the challenges of having two offices and a distributed team. It's something that's being actively improved upon, including an investment in technology infrastructure to better connect our two offices.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing and we will keep growing like mad!
