    Professional (Current Employee)
    Dayton, OH

ProsGreat Location Downtown (across from Riverscape!)
    Free Parking Garage
    Small Gym On-site
Generally Nice People to work with
    Pretty Good Benefit Package
So far have been pretty flexible with work schedule...

ConsLack of Organization, Structure, Process, Planning, Forward-Thinking, etc.
NO Females in Leadership.....NONE! Company Executives (VP and up) are all Men...and Men who all know each other/have worked together before A little too "inbreed"!

Advice to Senior ManagementHire Leaders who have Education and Experience in the roles you place them AND who know how to Lead, Plan, Organize, Prioritize, and Appreciate good employees!

    Good Company, Needs More Communication

Senior, Account Relationship Manager (Current Employee)
    Dayton, OH

ProsOverall this is a good company to work for.

ConsNeeds to evaulate employees based on their job performance and when an employee surpasses what is expected then they need to compensate.

Needs to give employees their job structure and salary grades with salary ranges.

    Needs more advancement opportunities.

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunicate more with employees. Their is information that is never found out unless you go searching for it.

    Lost with the times

    Sales (Former Employee)
    Dayton, OH

ProsFlexible work hours. ability to grow but no training for any new products or service. Plus pricing is out of wack. not competitive at all.. Ok pay plan. however, in the last 3 years, they have changed the comp. plane 3 times. Room for growth but management is not looking for the future. This company is living in the past. Open territory to call on whoever you want to call on..

ConsAlways changing comp. plans, no training, lose of focus from upper management, local management has no clue. Better make you number in a dying indusrty of you will be let go. Lack of support to be able to go sell. Local managemnt needs to be a manager of his or her sales people instead of kissing the upper managements butts.

Advice to Senior Managementmove into the future, your tranition business is dead

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    Things need to improve

    Customer Service (Current Employee)
    Dayton, OH

ProsEmployees are treated to a family type atmosphere. There are several knowledgeable people within the company willing to help. If things smooth out the company has the potential to see huge gains.

ConsCommunication between even top management and direct managers is slow or completely lacking, leading to lack of communication to front line employees. Company path is on unstable ground as shown by it being changed 4 times in the last 3 years.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease look at this and other reviews that offered advice as most have suggested working on communication.

    Company in trouble

    Customer Service (Former Employee)
    Milwaukee, WI

ProsAt the local level we had a good operation and solid management. Was treated well and had a good team

ConsThe leadership team and upper management was the typical old boys club. Over 5 years we had close to 5 CEO's and very weak finances. Could not keep the company moving in the same direction.

Fast Paced - Ability to Make a Difference

    IT Professional (Current Employee)
    Dayton, OH

ProsWorkflowOne is a small enough company allowing any one person to make a difference. The company is fast paced and ever changing allowing a young professional many opportunities for growth and first hand experience.

ConsIt is very hard to hit a ceiling in this company. There is strong retention in management and therefore hard to break through. This company is great for young professionals, but has a limited shelf life for career growth potential.

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunicate more with employees, much of the time information is spread through the grape vine much sooner than a formal communication.

    He has been removed

    Account Executive (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsThere are some excellent manufacturing plants. Most of the people in the manufacturing palnts are a pleasure to work with. The plants usually do top quality work.

ConsThe pricing at workflow plants was way too high to be competitive and the freight prices were way too high also. All pricing problems are charged to sales. It is up to sales to fix the problem even if the problem has nothing to do with sales. They have reduced commissions 8 times in the last 10 years and eliminated a 20% bonus for thoes who hit plan on Dec 30, 2007. The eliminated the pension, 401k match, and reduced the health benefits while increasing the health benefit cost to employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe company is top heavy with managers and there is little sales support.

    Poor management causes company downfall

    Account Manager (Current Employee)
    Grove City, OH

ProsIn Sales you are able to combine and juggle work/home life
Each sales office operates differently, and our office was very flexible. However, some offices have managers that like to mcrio manage so be sure to do your homework beforehand.
Also, some offices are virtual and sales can work from home.

    Conspoor management
    poor communication from upper management
Bonuses promised but not given 2 years in a row

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunicate to the empolyees quicker rather than allow too much time for speculation
Be honet with the employess and follow through with what is promised

This is a good intermidiate step for a programmer in .Net. The work has enough challenges but is not overly so.

    Website Developer (Current Employee)
    Irving, TX

ProsDecent company with competent management and growth prospects. There are growth opportunities in most parts of the company but little in my division as the digital solutions division itself is small but growing.

ConsI can't think of any really downsides except perhaps that they aren't as keen to let their programmers work from home as some other companies are. I think this would be a real benefit.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpgrade your programmers hardware and let them work from home. This will increase productivity not decrease it.

    Run by cost cutting consultants

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsTalented people in sales offices. Corporate Morale is toast. Great people are leaving there . The ones who are left are overworked

ConsManagement is scared to death of making decisions. Allow dishonest, incompetent field managers to stay while the sales and support teams are decimated.

Advice to Senior Managementremember if there are no salesmen there are no sales

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
