Pros
Currently there are many opportunities
Cons
There seems to be a lack of communication
Advice to Senior Management
Engage employees
Pros
Vacation time
Autonomous work enviroment for the most part
Mgmt doesn't micro manage
Can work from home when needed (for some)
You prioritize and manage your workload
Cons
Middle mgrs conduct employee reviews, but they do not have enough knowledge to do so (because they are not involved in your daily activities, may sound strange, but that's the case)
Limited room for advancement.
Recently came out with a new career path. If you're already at the top of that chart, then what?
No bonus, salary increase, or 401K match in about 3 years.
Advice to Senior Management
Understanding that it is hard times, but that's the case for all of us. Show your employees you value them with some type of financial compensation.
Pros
Flexible schedule and great RSM's.
Cons
Inability to invest in the future.
Advice to Senior Management
Kick out Storm Consulting.
Pros
There are plenty of opportunities to expand your skill set. They are very flexible and willing to work with a variety of different situations.
Cons
Due to the recent financial situation of the company, raises have been few and far between. Rather then getting rewarded, or even thanked, for any extra effort in these trying times, generally you will just get more work.
Advice to Senior Management
While that lack of raises and promotions in these financially stressful times is somewhat understandable, there comes a point when you need to give you employees something and quit taking away. There are a lot of employees that have stuck with this company throughout these tough times, but if the company does not do something about retaining these employees they will give up on the company too.
Pros
Great people, highly dedicated and loyal.
Cons
Working between groups sometimes difficult.
Employees under-paid and under-appreciated.
Advice to Senior Management
Customer service and retention starts with happy employees
Pros
WorkflowOne is an Industry leader, with significant brand recognition and at the time a great local staff. The customer service crew was outstanding and the abilty to outsource work as necessary was a plus.
Cons
The transition to moving accounting to corporate headquarters was trying. Local sales management assistance would have been helpful. Capex investment in our local facilty would have also been helpful.
Pros
Newer facility/Covered and free parking
Flexible per employees personal time
Cons
Middle Management lacking direction and professionalism required to retain quality employees
Company in bankruptcy
Pros
Learned how to broker after coming from a large print corporation. Broke into new markets based on Wkflone purchasing promotional Companies.
Cons
Poor commissions due to company debt. Lack of strong production support when one sales large complicated projects
Advice to Senior Management
Throw some of the "cash" down to the reps in the foxholes.
Pros
Before the Ownership Change, I found the department I worked in very respectful of Work-Life Balance. And also very flexible when it came to working on-site, working virtual, etc. Those are both big Plus's in my book. I also took advantage of the on-site gym. Its truly very very small but at least it gave me the opportunity to take a 45 min treadmill break every day! And finally, the Riverscape location is beautiful!!
Cons
Lack of Creative Leadership!
Lack of infrastructure!
Lack of Communication!
Lack of Process and Planning!
Lack of Clear Direction!
And the company overall has a lack of truly respecting and valuing their employees!!
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your employees the way you want to be treated. And watch your back because the New Owners are going to cut many more people before they are done!
Pros
The clients are fabulous to work with. Many of the "worker-bees" are super also. You can advance if you look to work in Dayton.
Cons
Management can be very challenging when it comes to listening to the field for what is really happening in the industry. Dayton location is probably a downfall.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your field team. They know what is happening. Lean on the people that are making a difference in the company, not the people who are at corporate and don't see the day to day in the field.
