I worked at WorkflowOne full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

WFO does have some good technology and plants. Tim Tatman should have been CEO years ago and is a good man.

    Cons

Continued take-aways from employees, the complete destruction of sales service, the people who made these decison and implemented them all got fired. Customers left in droves because orders could not get placed and deliveries were 4 weeks late. Then Ch. 11 made it a perfect storm. Entire sales departments left the company taking the clients with them. The companyy is losing the game to Std Reg. No investment for the future. Local managers had to drink the Koolaid or get canned.

    Advice to Management

The company is run by the same equity group that broke up Hostess and will probably do the same. Sell the digital group, the plants and the distribution Centers separately, but who will buy them? I give it about 12 more months before this happens.

    Pros

Nice HQ facility and good people to work with, talent seems to be leaving quickly and good for them.

    Cons

Terrible horrible middle management.... Horrid. They have no idea how the business operates or what is going on most of the time, very reactive instead of proactive. There is no leader ship what so ever, management fighting with each other over silly political endeavors.

    Advice to Management

None..... Ignore this like all the other feed back you have received.

I worked at WorkflowOne full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Worked with a lot of great people who were willing to give 110% to get the job done.

    Cons

WorkflowOne has to be one of the most reactive company I've ever worked for. Management doesn't address any issues or concerns until it's a complete disaster. NO one on the management team is willing to stand up and take responsibility for his/her team. They are more conerned with how they can climb the corporate latter and don't care who they step on to get there, even if it's someone that reports to them. You can never get a straight answer about anything. They will tell you they will have an answer in a week and you may or may not ever hear back from the manager. The company operates as they did 20 years ago which is why they have already filed bankruptcy once. There's a constant revolving door of employees, anyone that's willing to actually work is either burned out by work overload or stiffled because managment doesn't want the individual to outshine them. There is a real problem with managment keeping everything a secret until "they" feel it's necessary to tell everyone. I never felt I could trust my manager to do what was in my best interest.

    Advice to Management

Clean house with middle management if you want this company to survive. Too many individuals with little or no management experience managing people and have no clue of what they are doing.

I have been working at WorkflowOne full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

There are some really great, dedicated, loyal and hard working people in this company. That fact alone has helped me through some difficult times at WFO.

    Cons

There is an unfortunate disconnect from ownership/senior staff with the general workforce (the ones doing all the heavy lifting). Decisions made prior to the C-11 are haunting the efforts of the company today to push forward. The major lay-offs during and after the bankruptcy left many areas lacking for good talent only to be replaced with low salaried ineffecient individuals lacking in subject matter experience or expertice. Contributions made by individuals are minimized creating an environment where employees do not feel appreciated for work done or sacrifices made on behalf of the company.

    Advice to Management

Focussing soley on improving sales and ignoring the people who get the work done on a daily basis will continue to cause a hemorrhaging of excellent talent which you can ill afford to lose since workload demands in many cases have tripled for individuals. Paying more for experienced employees who can handle the heavier workloads is much better than letting the talent go and replacing them with inexperienced cheap labor (that just won't work for the long run)

    Pros

The only pro is that I have a job

    Cons

They don't care about the employees. Constant cuts to the staff. Overloaded with work. Incompetent sales reps. Bringing on friends of friends who obviously should not be working here. Putting people in management roles who definitely should not be. Attitudes are horrendous. People constanly backstabbing each other.

    Advice to Management

    STOP CUTTING THE WRONG PEOPLE.

Working environment is excellent. Inouts are listened to. Include promotional

    Cons

Salaries are not on-par for positions. No matching 401K. Benefits are weak overall. Hard promotional road for women.

    Advice to Management

    Include promotional roadmap for employees.

    Pros

There are a lot of good people that work here, unfortunately they are not recoginized or rewarded for their hard work.

    Cons

No one will step up to the bat for their team. I have never worked at a company with so many 'Yes" managers. They are ALL so afraid to make a decision it can be weeks before you can get an answer to anything because they all have to ask each other what to do. Let alone get a straight answer out of a manager.

    Advice to Management

Stand up for your team and think outside the box. The management team needs to be more proactive than reactive.

I worked at WorkflowOne full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    The office space is adequate.

    Cons

Wage freeze for over 7 years. No 401k match any longer. Do not promote from within. Feel that anyone, regardless of training or ability, can do anyone else job on a moments notice. Poor corporate leadership. Lack of management and leadership at regional level. Not employee friendly or motivational.

    Advice to Management

Need to appreciate the good employess of the company and reward, ALL levels, not just sales reps and management, with incentives and bonuses. Need to give raises based on what the employee actually does and not on the failures or success of a sales rep brining in sales. Unfair to the non-outside or inside sales employees.
