    Pros

The contract labor for some great companies (frankly i'm surprised that companies that value employee relationships would contract with this company)

    Cons

No Vacation, Expensive Healthcare, BAD Benefits, Internal Employees are not on the same page (different information from different reps) , they do not define your contract and what your responsibilities will be in the role.

    Advice to Management

Value the people you employe and not just the companies you contract with. Your responsibility should be to your employees first. This type of contracting is basically a way to screw over employees out of benefits.

    Pros

They are a necessary evil if you are contracting at a company that uses this contingent workforce agency.

    Cons

Working as a contractor through Workforce Logic was a horrible experience. Their employees aren't knowledgeable about any of the company policies and it is a nightmare getting information about pay, benefits, and the like. As their client is the company where you are working, they have absolutely NO interest in doing anything for the contractors they are hiring out. Do everything you can to avoid signing up for COBRA after your contract ends. They use an outsouring vendor, eCOBRA, to service their ex-contractors and eCOBRA doesn't forward premiums onto insurance promptly (leaving you to pay out-of-pocket). I understand their policies have changed and they charge an even larger fee to employers (which effectively comes out of your pay), even when they have done nothing to recruit.

  5. Great software development team; management too reactionary instead of being strategic.

    Pros

Co workers in the development team, best group of people I have ever worked with.

    Cons

Overall company direction was never clear. Too many arbitrary deadlines Some really bad internal polices going on (outside the software development group)

    Advice to Management

The company has since been acquired and no longer exists.

    Pros

Work Force Logic was able to provide services for a contract at an excellent storage technology company in the Research Triangle Park area.

    Cons

Work Force Logic merged or sold to Zero Chaos after 6-months on a good contract, and somehow had issues in the reporting of wages for my service.

    Advice to Management

Be certain to report wages for employees as required by state and federal laws.

    Pros

I had complete flexibility in hours. Even when I would forget to submit a timesheet exactly on time I would still be paid. Payment was easy and prompt.

    Cons

The work can be a little bit repetitive. Since you are doing the same thing over and over again it can feel a bit like being a monkey hitting the keyboard. Management rarely reached out to ads quality raters, as such there was no sense of community.

    Advice to Management

Find some way to let employees communicate with each other, otherwise everybody feels like a lone wolf rating things from the other side of the planet.

    Pros

Family-oriented, CEO and senior management was approachable, enjoyed working alongside some very talented colleagues. Flexible work arrangements and you got the impression that your leadership truly cared about you both professionally and personally.

    Cons

Mediocre benefits package, salaries not competitive, no real opportunities for growth and no training provided despite repeated requests, lagged behind in the market and unwilling to invest in the technology that would make them a market leader. Spent way too much time here busting my butt and never really getting recognized or promoted. Many, many promises were made, yet none ever came to fruition..

    Advice to Management

Should have never sold the organization.

you should supply the computer and the software: if you get a virus it is your problem

don't be cheap and supply the computer or a repair service in case of damaging virus
