    Pros

Beautiful office location, talented people, good people on the board, few of the execs are visionaries, billion dollar company goals, good place for ambition. No nepotism, no playing favorites, the hustlers are rewarded.

    Cons

Management from the early stages are being replaced with people with experience to match the new larger company size. Terrain changes monthly. Executive/VP/Middle management titles are a little difficult to take seriously because of the difference between what the industry definition is and what that person actually does or has the power/control to do. There is zero upward mobility here.

    Advice to Management

N/A. Every V.P/Director/Manager I knew was fired or left.

    Pros

Decent pay for supervisors and above. Dress is casual. Health activities. Good work space provided to work, two people per office. Flexible work schedule, depending on your manager. Good pto and benefits. Continuing education, and life classes offered for free. Hard working employees.

    Cons

Managers and above are extremely political, what they hear is what they believe. I was under the impression when hired that the culture was outstanding, but soon found out it is the opposite. There is no open communication. The constant overall feeling that everyone can lose their job at any moment, as every week another person from the team leaves or is fired. There are approximately 5 different systems that are used to get your job done every day, nothing works with the other. I never met anyone who left on good terms. No communication between departments, or within departments, leading to duplication of projects.

    Advice to Management

Listen to those who are in the trenches, operating the day to day logistics. Do not just stay at an executive level, speak with employees about true issues that are happening and help them to figure that out. Hire people that fit well with the culture, and allow them to learn how to work in the travel industry vs. hiring from experience with a bad culture fit.

  3. A wonderful place to work! For a desk job, this has been an amazing experience and the staff is incredible.

    Pros

The pay is great. Multiple accommodations on site include a kitchen with food available for purchase, an amazing view of a canal outside, and occasional massages brought into the building from an outside company.

    Cons

Like any job, you will not always get along with all of the staff. Sometimes communication between a departments is very poor.

    Advice to Management

Work on communication between departments! This is very important to us, as we are the ones on the front line of the reps in the field.

    Pros

The company has attempted to model a relaxed workplace with plenty of perks, like a nap room, game room, company picnics, mother's room, and decent benefits.

    Cons

Most of the perks are surface value only: Long hours and forced overtime are expected, little opportunity for long term career planning, low salaries, and no matched 401K.
Politics plague the company and management is a revolving door. Top-notch employees are terminated and forced out if someone in management does not like them.
The execs are completely deaf to the concerns of their workforce. While the execs are aiming for billion dollar profits, many of their employees are struggling to get by on their meager salaries.
Nepotism is standard and blatant in Hiring. Friends and family will always get the job over a qualified candidate.
The company runs on a "Drink the Kool-aid" mentality to keep employees working long hours with impossible workloads. The management asks employees to commit to the dream of the company and just put in a little overtime over the next quarter so that they can hire more employees (which never seems to happen).
False promises of promotions and pay raises are used like a carrot on a stick to keep employees working beyond maximum capacity.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to listen to the employees and deliver on everything they have promised. Quite frankly, I am not sure this is even possible for them. It seems like MLMs attract a certain kind of driven personality that lacks integrity and empathy

    Pros

Co-workers are amazing people, and you will truly be friends with those you work with. There were a lot of fun events, especially around holidays. There is a very relaxed dress code, and at the salaried level a degree of flex time.

    Cons

The company changes direction often, and decisions are made and expected to be carried out at a moment's notice. Stress can run high in departments, particularly tech and design. There are a lot of politics are higher levels. Executive management can be slow to get key players into place, and slow to eliminate problems.

    Pros

No pros that are even viable. I am at a loss for words.

    Cons

The owners don't have a clue what is happening at the core level of the company. Employees are overworked. Tensions are so high, you are scared to say a word to HR for fear of being fired. The company's divisions will crumble without the leadership it once had. There is no fun freedom or fulfillment.

    Advice to Management

    Care about someone besides yourself.

    Pros

Robust benefit & training program across company levels.

    Cons

Benefits package was confusing (as they tend to be), but HR did a great hands-on job of clarifying or getting the needed answers.

    Advice to Management

Continue placing the focus on the great talent you've been hiring for the team!

    Pros

    • Pleasantly casual.
    • They go out of their way to hire great ground troops/full-timers that are friendly, and fun to work with.

    Cons

    • Executive and Management politics are manic at best, detrimental to their own progression at worst
    • A lot of folks don't know their role or come from a completely different field to manage a team or project
    • An inability to commit to work outlooks and deadlines creates a frenzied release cycle - a very reactionary environment that waterfalls down to the teams

    Advice to Management

Stick to the plan. Any plan. Sign off on it, and don't change it; just push the release date out. No one cares if it's a little late, but a great product/presentation.
