Pros – good benefits, people, room to grow, good locations, its pretty hard to make this a twenty word mininum so yeah
Cons – tough hours, stress, not having to worry about things you should definitely worry about again and again before and after
Advice to Senior Management – my advice to managment would be to shoot for the stars, live the life like you want to live and do it to it
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

I have been working at WorleyParsons Limited full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – You get exposure to various projects and clients, often starting in the FEED phase and continuing into detailed design -- may get some exposure to the construction phase depending on where the project is located. Benefits are decent, work-life balance is usually decent
Cons – It may be different in other locations (or even in other disciplines within the Western Operations location), but the process department is run pretty poorly, with quite a bit of favoritism shown. Management will never give a straight answer to anything (if/when new jobs are coming in) -- some good people have been laid off recently, with some poor engineers kept on (either on overhead or transferred to different groups). Some of these cuts have been very confusing, and I suspect it will continue.
Some of the better engineers are fed up with the way things are being handled, and there seems to be some sort of mass exodus going on at the moment (at least five people within the process department have left or have already put in notice in the past month, with many others currently looking).
Advice to Senior Management – Look at the way good engineers are being treated -- if you don't give people incentive to continue doing good work, they will all continue to leave. Rewarding poor engineers for ass-kissing well is not the best way to do business (or to continue to get business when all the good engineers leave and the poor ones are left...).

Pros – Excellent career development opportunities. Culture of promoting entrepreneurship. Promotes cross-discipline and cross-regional mobility. Excellent attitude towards work-life balance. Broad on-the-job experiences available.
Cons – Individuals that aren't proactive about their own development needs can be left feeling disenfranchised.

I worked at WorleyParsons Limited
Pros – The people are more than qualified, and very friendly. With few exceptions, everyone from entry-level to upper-management gets along great which creates a very productive atmosphere. With all the experience in-house, learning possibilities are rampant. For a very long time, Reading was the center of the WP power world, but the company has grown tremendously over the last decade. Those changes have drawbacks, but also create endless opportunities for the qualified and open-minded employee.
Cons – Location, location, location. If you're looking for the variety, competition and networking available in a large city, you won't find it in Reading. Many employees are "lifers" from the area, but they do manage to draw some fresh blood from the surrounding satellite universities and Philadelphia (although not always for long). Overall the quality of the people offsets the lack of quality in the area. Like most large companies, WP is a little top-heavy these days.
Advice to Senior Management – Lose a layer. There are too many layers of management meaning there is a LARGE disconnect from the decision making and the expertise. Inevitably this will cause inefficiency and problems for the company, at least for certain offices.

I have been working at WorleyParsons Limited
Pros – Balance of life & work being promoted by the management. Excellent training for newly graduates. Understanding and efficient management during time of crisis. Good compensation package. Flexible time. Very good safety training. Overall the management is doing a good job.
Cons – Limited opportunites for progress for mid-level posistions. While there are a lot of programs for newly graduates, long time employees on mid-level positions are feeling left out. Some highly capable senior engineers are doing menial/entry level jobs that the newbies can easily perform. Company often times are not trying hard to keep the good employees from leaving. These are the same employees whom they spend a lot of time & money to recruit.
Advice to Senior Management – FInd ways to improve the morale of long time mid-level employees. Try to keep employess from leaving by making them enthusiastic about their job. Most of the time, money is NOT only the reason.

I worked at WorleyParsons Limited full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Salary average , well known in industry
Cons – corporate Politics 200 % too many managers have titles no staff , quality engineers have left so alliances are gone and bids are lost.
Advice to Senior Management – Calgary management enough of closed circuit TV politics time to wake up and smell the coffee.

I worked at WorleyParsons Limited as an intern for less than a year
Pros – relaxed environment - colelagues are easy to work with, always there for help if needed
Good experience - They give interns real work to do, as opposed to made-up projects. Always new projects coming in and they are always different so you get to see many things
Cons – No site vists
Very little training

I have been working at WorleyParsons Limited full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Massive opportunities given the sheer size of the company
Cons – Treat long term employess like contractors - no international personnel focus
Like most companies managers seem more valued than top engineers
Advice to Senior Management – Need to provide advancement opportunities for more senior engineers not just management
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
