I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide full-time

    Pros

Very well organized company. The hiring process took a while but once I was hired, the orientation and training was asap. The entire department is like a well oiled machine, everything runs smoothly. A lot of teamwork and they always make sure they express how well you are doing. Everyone is very helpful; and just overall happy to be at work. Managers are always available to help and very friendly.

The benefits are great as well, and not as pricey as other companies. There are alot of growth opportunities, activities, in-house clinic, gym, and clubs to join. They truly converted the workplace into a resort for employees, which makes us more efficient and happy to work our hardest.

    Cons

Honestly, I can't think of anything negative to say.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work and we can see why this company is so successful.

I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great company with good pay and decent benefits.

    Cons

Most management has been built on favoritism. These managers won't leave company because they know they would never make it elsewhere. FL employment is "at will" so if you rub management wrong way be prepared to have a difficult stay while they nitpick and build up a case to get rid of you or just make you so miserable you leave.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work with your employees not against them. Stop the favoritism and don't harass your employees.

I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide as a contractor (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great place to work at. Really busy in IT related projects, and do alot of contracted work. Not contract to hire. Some of the perks include discounts for accommodations in Wyndham properties Worldwide.

    Cons

Treat contractors as outcast. For example: They do ice cream socials for the whole building but specifically tell contractors they are not allowed. They do the same for Thanksgiving when handing out the turkeys to everyone in the building.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There are no company values. There's a great deal of back end favors taking place and the level of corporate politics is very high. Tough to get many things done in a timely fashion do to all the red tape and political landscape.

    Pros

Good experience with the company and senior management. Company was forced to adapt to changing economic conditions, but overall handled the situation well

    Cons

Could be difficult to navigate the corporate bureaucracy, but this was my first experience in a company of this size

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate wide organizational decisions and policies don't always provide the intended results in all departments.

    Pros

Money can be good if you want to lie

    Cons

Sales are based on falsehoods and play acting that something is wrong with account. Don't ever expect to sleep well at night or have a personal life

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most managers are in this position because they don't know how to sell anything.

I worked at Wyndham Worldwide part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The offer a good pay and good hours. Each week had free food, seminars, and amazing offers. I personally took advantage of their vacation offers that allowed me to visit my choice of their properties across the world

    Cons

A little too informal. Computer systems obsolete - could really benefit from upgrading their computer programs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be better structured for your employees. Empower them to talk with you and help make the company better
