I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Their pay structure is fantastic and the possibilities are great!
Good support from team leaders, although they tell you not to expect too much... 1/3 of the leads could be interested in changing their product.
They have a business card program that requires the rep to go out to merchants around the business where the set appointment was. Goal was to talk to the owners and tell them that you don't have time now to explain everything but that your assistant would be calling them to set up a new appointment.

    Cons

Leads were few and not real... Most appointments were bogus, and most merchants were not aware what the appointment was all about. Some had no clue and the owners of the businesses were never available.
    I call them Cold leads.
The business card program is for go-getters only... If you don't like walking into a store and try to get the business... this job is not for you!
Commission only, and no money towards your gas or use of your vehicle... that can add up!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice... they have it pretty well figured out... where else can you get FREE advertising...? By hiring hungry sales people, then giving them bogus leads... and tell them to go into neighboring merchants to advertise their product!

    I worked at Wyndham Worldwide

    Pros

    Decent pay and benefits

    Cons

Terrible hours if you work 2nd shift. Also you're always being asked to work later or come in on days off. Staff is small so vacation time is hard to come by.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more ppl and rotate shifts so 2nd shift team can have a life.

I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good bonus structure, overall sense of raising the bar

    Cons

Lack of company standards, bar needing to be raised, lack of career advancement opportunities

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clear department standards, promote from within, career development. I cannot see my future with this company, there does not appear to be any type of career development or leadership programs. Also, no specific department training.

    I worked at Wyndham Worldwide

    Pros

The benefits were nice and they sincerely try to make you feel like you are part of a big family.

    Cons

The management personnel should be trained BEFORE they become managers. Many of the managers have never been trained in how to manage/motivate employees.

I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

In comparison to working with Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Wyndham Worldwide truly is an office with unbeatable amenities. There is a gym that supplies towels, shampoo and conditioner, a cafeteria, game room, meditation room, nursing room,a nurse that works on site Monday- Friday. There are vendors that often set up by the cafeteria that allows you to do a little shopping on you lunch break. Also, a mini convenience store that sells your basic bread, milk, eggs and Boars Head cold cuts, candy and much more. Did I mention, tuition reimbursement and a great health benefits.

    Cons

I have not encounter any cons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been luckily to have great management and I believe the "one on one" talks really help.
