I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time

    Pros

Good commission, nice employees. Very Hollywood atmosphere unlike other resorts in town. Good benefits package and incentives. Great training as well

    Cons

Poor clientele at times, sometimes you get put on tour with rednecks that don't qualify and clearly shouldn't have been there.

    Advice to Management

Better marketing. Some of the tours are broke and only go for gifts. Broadway tours are good but anything off of the boulevard is junk.

    Pros

Everyone working for Wyndham Vacation Ownership truly has the customer's best interests at heart. A great collaborative environment, great ideas are always welcome.

    Cons

A bit of chaos and disorganization, leading to project delays and frustrations. Sometimes people's emotions and relationships get in the way of work, as opposed to focusing on getting the best work done by the best person.

    Advice to Management

Don't play favorites. Work with the best.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits though not good pay. "Open door" policy is great idea but not followed by those below the resort manager level.

    Cons

My manager does not follow through. Emails aren't answered, doesn't want a paper trail. Ineffective employees are not retrained or got rid of. Ergonomics are not cared about. Supplies are not ordered to arrive before they run out. "Leads or supervisors" are too young to know how to act. Again they don't follow through. It's had to recommend a company to a friend when you know how miserable it is at the location you work. In 4 years of employment there has only been a year that we had a full complement of managers and the front desk, maintenance and housekeeping departments have never been fully staffed.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, use their expertise. Work to keep your current employees instead of spending so much money to get new ones. Managers that aren't respected by the majority of your employees maybe should not be employed by you. Maybe the turnover wouldn't be so high if you looked at the managers that the current ones don't like. Get rid of the favoritism by managers to the "young cute girls", I intentionally didn't say "women", and to their family members.
