Franchise company that cares about the company and not the little people.

I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide

    Pros

Good benefits program that includes dental and vision.

    Cons

Wyndham does not care about the years of service an employee puts in.

I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The non-managers are extremely friendly and helpful, and the place is historic, so that part is interesting.

    Cons

Management feels over entitled. They worry more about each other than the guests. If you don't kiss their butts, you get ridiculed. They also hire too many foreign "interns" that take jobs away from residents that need them. The assistant HR ladies are great, but not their boss. Restaurant managers are either incompetent or just don't care.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do your job, don't take advantage of your position. Also, grow up. Be more mindful of the people that are actually doing their jobs and not just kissing your butts.

I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The benefits are nice and start on day one instead of waiting 30-90 days like my previous employers. The company overall tries and I'm sure would listen to problems you just need to find the right person.

    Cons

The growth in the company seems nonexistent, and they don't recognize hard work. They seen to rely heavily on interns to fill needed positions but since they are only around for atm year all their training is wasted and we have to start fresh.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understanding the lack of staff in the kitchen, and knowing their job descriptions. As well as hiring more full time employees and to rely less on internships to fill gaps in employment.

I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide

    Pros

Entry level guides start with an amazing amount of benefits, including vacation, and free stays at Wyndham resorts.
Atmosphere is fun, and they are always coming up with incintives in the way of prizes for associates.

    Cons

They boast a great level of advancement opportunity, but have tended to shut down any hiring for at least six months the last few years; which completely haults any advancement.
They boast a great incintive plan, but strong willed people beware, this is not something you will succeed at.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quite keeping so many secrets. Keep your people informed as to what is going on, and I am not speaking of the "Town Halls" you have throughout the year. People do not like being kept in dark.

I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time

    Pros

I enjoyed my nearly 10 years at Wyndham Worldwide. All of my time with the company was spent in their timeshare division - Wyndham Vacation Ownership. I relocated to the Orlando corporate office for the organization and, and that process couldn't have gone better for my career and my family.

    Cons

This is a sales organization, and those that perform functions outside of sales, are sometimes a bit envious of the perks and awards that sales reps can work towards. Things have changed a bit and now there are support department awards and recognition opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase the ability for non-sales employees to benefit from the support they provide to ensure sales have people to sell to.
