Pros – In order to justify the low pay, they will hire lesser experienced individuals.
Cons – Favoritism, gender and age discrimination has been observed. Mismanagement of their contract led to three technicians departing in a single month and the questionable termination of others. Many people also departed previously. They offered insulting pay cuts once the contract was taken over. In some cases, employees were offered $20,000 less than what they were previously making. They fired one of best guys on the site and left it in the hands of a group of staff who've been working less than a year on the contract. Federal staff has been brought in to micromanage due to the effects of the management.
As for the future of the company, they can't get contracts and are barely holding on to the ones they do have.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire impartial managers that have a strong background in IT and are familiar with the dynamics of project management as well as service management.
