I worked at XanGo full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, great co-workers, and there are opportunities to grow and learn.

    Cons

It's a demanding line of business. There is a lot of pressure to please the customers/distributors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your people. They are smart. And their intuition is spot on.

I have been working at XanGo full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Didn't have to punch a clock

    Cons

I was there on a project and watched the idiots screw up their website.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop suing each other.

I worked at XanGo full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Central location and easy access to freeway, some nice people in various departments.

    Cons

Not as much opportunity to grow, lower wages than other companies in the industry. They have maintain the same wagers for a few years. Rather than giving the existing employees the opportunity to work more hours and still maintain a part time status, they cut hours for them and bring more people that need to be trained which adds up costs and cuts down efficiency.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Connect better with the lower ranks, go back to the 'family atmosphere' that made them in the early years a place where you wanted to work and make a career.

    Pros

Mobility and Freedom. Its commission based.

    Cons

Not consistent enough to make a living. Its supplemental.

I have been working at XanGo full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

XANGO has been wonderful to work for, they've given me a lot of opportunities, knowledge and friendships. There hasn't been a layoff in a little over a year.

    Cons

The opportunities and culture that used to make this place so wonderful have been replaced with an environment of distrust and cynicism. A sad but natural effect of yearly layoffs over a period of three or four years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to keep those of us that are still here and don't hire who you can't afford to keep.

I worked at XanGo part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

XANGO distributors are great people, caring, passionate about helping people

    Cons

Company is in a decline and changed the pay plan. After nine years with them, my check dropped by half when the new pay plan was implemented. Some of the products seem to have become less effective. Hard to find and keep customers with a product that is over and above one's usual budget. They add astronomical shipping costs that make this even harder.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The pay plan must support the little guy or all the little guys leave and the big guys no longer have a team. The pay plan has to have more money up front, not after reaching a very distant goal. Most people won't stick around that long and it's hard to look someone in the eye and say, "I can show you how to make money and live your dream with XANGO."

I have been working at XanGo

    Pros

Great place to work, great benefits

    Cons

None that I can think of

  10. Terrible money management. Layoffs are common company culture.

I worked at XanGo full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Co-Workers were fun, nice location.

    Cons

Layoffs, Layoffs and Layoffs. It is their first choice to save money. While the executives are "recruiting" overseas. Upper management didn't even come into the office when the layoffs happened. They were "out of town on business". Terrible company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take finance and budgeting 101.

I worked at XanGo full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

XANGO has good benefits and takes good care of employees, until they lay them off. They occur regularly and rarely come with any forewarning.

    Cons

Unstable work environment subject to megalomaniac personalities (i.e. Aaron Garrity and the like.)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more transparent with employees about the state of the company and its financial health.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
