Xanodyne was a company with a lot of promise - but in the right place at the wrong time

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsMiddle management and employees had a great work ethic. Initially it was a fun place - work hard, play hard. The technical expertise was very high.

ConsToo many changes in executive management and strategy led to demise. The venture capital groups had too much politics and made some strange decisions on financing, executives and m&a activities.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpper management should have acted quicker to get the IPO done before the economy took a dive. All of the M&A activity was not kept quiet - too many visitors to the HQ - should have held meeetings offsite.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Not the best nor the worst

    Sales Specialist (Former Employee)

ProsGreat benefits. DM was solid and was great at communicating honestly with the district.

ConsGoals and promises of new products never came to fruition. We kept hearing about company IPO and new products in the pipeline. Instead, we sold me-too drugs.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe honest with the sales team.

    Unexpected Layoffs

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) San Bernardino, CA

ProsCompany sustained the shareholder values and Natasha gets the CEO job.

ConsNatasha made critical mistake when she laid off nearly 2/3 of specialty sales force without any warning a few months after her promotion to CEO position. A lot of good managers (District and Regional) along with good representatives lost their jobs a month before Christmas.

Advice to Senior ManagementNever forget who got you to the place you are at; Sales reps/managers are the bloodline of any profitable business or companies. They should be the first to hire and the last to let go.

Xanodyne is a very small pharma company that is struggling to make it

    Sales Specialist (Current Employee)

ProsNice people to work with; company car; decent budget for promotional activities; not a lot of after hours work; in the beginning the compensation plan was great - high bonuses

ConsOnly one product to sell; nothing in pipeline; company is for sale; poor communication from upper management about future of company; frequent manager ride along's; rigid targeting; hard to get new prescribers added to territory; frequent mis-alignments of targeted prescribers; quarterly compensation plan changes; very little support from home office on managed care; no current negotiations for managed care contracting; they fired the 3rd party company doing the managed care contracting; poor marketing materials; infrequent script data reporting; frequent territory realignments; several layoffs in the past 3 years; no patient assistance or physical co-pay assistance cards; uncertain future outlook

    Advice to Senior ManagementHave a Growth Plan; Pay representatives on entire territory; Allow reps to add new prescribers as they come into territory; provide physical copay assistance cards that can also be used for cash paying patients; Negotiate managed care contracts;
