    Pros

Company values team recognition and promoting employees internally. Very friendly people who are passionate about what they do. Leadership is open to new ideas.

    Cons

Navigating through the system and process is a self service process.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to keep an open mind, maintain a fun environment and keep internal opportunities high.

I worked at Xaxis full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good salary at entry level, great benefits
Social occasions (if in the right department)
Lots of smart people in the industry
    Generous vacation

This placed is filled with smart people who know a lot about the industry. While working there for more than a year I felt like the dumbest person in the meetings (this is good). Lots of sharp people. They have social events which are fun.

    Cons

    LONG long hours
    low morale
stressful work environment, no work life balance
No care from upper management, their tactic is to for you to work until you burn out and quit (I have heard conversations)
God help you if you work in ad ops.

I worked for a company Xaxis recently acquired. Although I liked my work there, I felt little support from upper management. Sweatshop environment. The company cared more about clients over their employees leading to low morale and general apathetic work attitude. This led to high turn over and loss of business. It is no wonder the company went out of business. There is also a lot of finger pointing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

treat your employees better, invest more money in ways to enable a better work life balance. Happy employees increases productivity and work quality that satisfy clients and grow business. Set stricter expectations from clients.
Upper management needs to stay aware of what employees are doing.

    Pros

Great smart people, great potentials for opportunities. Solid training support.
Plus all the perks like free massage, gym, and citi bike

    Cons

Long hours sometime, promotion cycle could be longer than expect. The work itself could be tedious and not always inspiring (but guess what, it is true for any place.)

I worked at Xaxis as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Xaxis works hard to keep the employees happy with exciting social events and perks like free massages on Fridays. The office culture is very friendly and social and Xaxis promotes a healthy work/life balance.

    Cons

-The intern salary was fairly low ($10/hr) but the perks and social events made up for it
-As an intern, I often felt that I did not have enough work to do even when I took initiative to keep asking if I could assist on any tasks

    Surreal Experience

I worked at Xaxis full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Decent compensation
    Industry leader
    Good company events

    Cons

Turnover is crazy, for very good reason. Many people I knew were actively looking for other jobs. Complaints made to HR during exit interview concerning management behavior and overall morale were very clearly not passed on. Morale was incredibly low, absolutely no positive feedback. The only feedback any of us ever received was negative, often in the form of very public scoldings, belittling comments and overall unprofessional tones.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider listening to your employees and treating them as fellow professionals, not children that you talk down to and treat with no respect.

    Pros

Great exposure to the ecosystem. Really valued the opportunity to learn from some really intelligent people and really enjoyed my colleagues.

    Cons

A lot of forward thinking but management did not do a great job of implementation, perhaps because they were provided with insufficient direction or information. It was sometimes hard to see the actual value or efficiency we were providing to clients.
