I worked at Xchanging as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Good experiance on how not to engage in a professional manner towards clients. A higlighting experiance to see how unhappy clients are with the arragnements

    Cons

Too many lies, dishonest senior managers, micromanaging middle managers in order to polish their own egos. openness policy needed whith clients. Too much time wasting chasing the small low hanging fruit rather than taking a more stragegic approach

I worked at Xchanging full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good salary in shared service teams.

    Cons

If you are in technology sector and you want to learn, never join this company. I you are good in presales or bid management, you will learn how to declare bids as "no bid". Also, if you have a good potential you can learn a lot of filthy words, abuses and politics. Leads just want to make money while others who actually work on the bid are not given any credit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop playing politics and promoting worst fellows.

I worked at Xchanging full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Nice and challenging work
    Provides training
    Onsite opportunity for few
    Good for graduates

    Cons

Salary for graduates is in the range of 5000 Rs ( 100 $ ) per month
No Canteen, hence no breakfast or snacks
No access to sites like linkedin or any professional sites
No Lunch or Dinner facility( except when new people join and are in training)
    No Canteen around 1KM radius
NON AC operated Office, hence hell lot of mosquitoes for night shift. On weekends, you will be stormed by entire office mosquitoes( of all floors).
No work life balance. Will have to work only in fixed shift timings as it is located in a remote location( 15 kms from city). Worst part is that building is located 1 Km away from Shimoga Bhadravati Main road. Hence you need walk for 20 mins when coming by own transport.
Office is next to a chemical factory and you get horrible smell as if you are in hell.
Will put you on bond for atleast 2 to 3 years even if you are experienced ( bond of 40000 to 60000 Rs, and you need to submit all of your marks cards).
FAKE picture of this office is given to UK office clients and management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care for your employees, provide basic facilities like food and then think of innovation
    Keep standards in salary

    Pros

Great office, when air conditioning works.

    Cons

Definitely a case of who you know, not what you know. If your face fits, you'll go far.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have management from other departments interviewing internal staff for promotion roles. Otherwise, favoritism always wins.

Global DNA is that of a BPO. Not much of a global attention for the IT Services business of Singapore. Adapt and change

    Cons

Frequent change in the top leadership, Inability to change, fossilized and being left by the market, atmosphere is one of too much politicking

    Pros

Once you have proven yourself, you have the flexibility to seek change to another field of your choice. Of course, opportunities need to be available in the sought-after field and you should show some traits required for the field.

    Cons

Company needs more contracts to keep going.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is smart enough to understand what the company needs.
