    Pros

Good work/life balance, friendly colleagues, flexible working, reasonable pay, generally support training

    Cons

Unambitious risk-averse company under current leadership, still overreliance on few big contracts without much replacements. Management not employee focused and a total old-boys-club, invisible HR. Insurance monopoly position creates friction with many customers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Either take risks to grow or sell up to a larger consultancy, and diversify the leadership teams

Disappointing work culture and management in Xchanging, Singapore

    Pros

once you are at client site, the management does not disturb.

    Cons

poor management, poor work culture, narrow-minded people, no proper documentation or standards in project, always take project on low cost and with less resources, always fails to meet the deadlines. When I joined the Xchanging. I have been asked to work on a completely new technology. I had been put under the client directly. I have taken up this work as a challenge. I was expecting support from senior because it was something new for me. As the work started, there was only one document for the project which was incomplete. The manager estimated the project very less. The truth was that the project would take more than a year or more to finish. There was nobody to oversee the progress of the project. The manager was too lazy to have regular status checks. Manager was reachable only if he needed something otherwise he would not answer calls / emails. There was no management at all in the company. Even though Singapore is cosmopolitan country, people are racist. I can't believe the Indians hate each other so much. The company is full of Tamilians and their relatives. I am not being racist here. I always enjoy the mixed culture in professional environment. Unfortunately I was asked to leave the company because Manager has to blame his junior for the project failure and second I am not a tamilian and I belong to a different part of India. I had to come back to India without any Job. Very disappointing management and work culture.

    Pros

Good opportunity for fresher, Good for those who want just time pass, flexible timing, less challenging work, good work-life balance.

    Cons

poor management: they only look about the company's profit and not employees
no personal growth: i spent 2 yrs in xchanging. during this time i never get any opportunity for personal development training.
work culture: less professionalism and huge politics
    poor compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to management is to look about the long term growth of the company instead of short term goal.

I worked at Xchanging full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    - Best for the people who just want to come to office, do time pass and go home
    - Starting package
    - location (within the city)

    Cons

    - Pathetic infrastructure (No proper chairs also)
    - Outdated systems running pirated windows OS. Only senior level people get laptops with genuine windows OS)
    - Hardly any good projects in bangalore. Sometimes people are hired for projects and then placed on bench.
    - Most of the projects are chennai based. Many people who joined specifically for bangalore location are asked to move to chennai.
    - Pathetic managers and department heads who have spent donkeys years in the organization and think they know everything, when the reality is actually the opposite.
    - Setting up your system with all the necessary softwares takes ages as each and every software installation has to come through a request.
    - Managers who ask for status update without even enabling the employee with all the necessary hardware and softwares.
    - Just because they pay you salary, the managers here think that they own you and shamelessly call you on even on weekends and ask for status update.
    - Absolutely no respect for employees.
