    Just a job, nothing more.

Telesales (Current Employee) Toronto, ON (Canada)

ProsWeekly pay. Guaranteed at least $300 but can go to $500-$600. Lots of dumpy addicts so you can feel superior to everyone while you look for something better.

ConsFor a company with such a crappy capacity for making money, they sure are strict about punching in and absences.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe less slimy for the love of God.

    Unprofessional and unethical workplace

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsAbsolutely none unless you are looking for a job where you dont have to think and can disappear for weeks and still have a job

ConsNo benefits, no perks, work 6 days a week, even if there is a holiday you have to work double shifts to make up hours lost, absolutely no concern for their employees.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Raised funds for nonprofit organizations over the phone.

    Fundraisor (Current Employee) Madison, WI

ProsXentel has flexible scheduling and a liberal dress code. Xentel has a convenient downtown location in my city.

ConsXentel has a low pay structure. Some of the people that worked at my location did not have common courtesy and lacked people skills. Some of the scripts were poorly written.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay better rates and hire better people. Some of the scripts need to be re-written.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

TELESALES Representative (Former Employee) Burnaby, BC (Canada)

ProsLearned what works when making a cold call sale. Good experience learning from my own mistakes and finding what works.

ConsPeople who don't put in 110% consistently don't get paid as much as they possibly could... A no-brainer.

    Advice to Senior ManagementNo complaints.

A way to pay the bills

    Fundraisor (Current Employee) Madison, WI

Prosnext to no dress code, very casual environment, you can take lots of breaks if you desire, as well as time off with little to no explanation.

ConsThe calling system needs upgrading, you need to work a minimum of 39 hours to obtain your bonus, or lose it all. Thus, if you are sick, their is no ability to make up the hours.

Advice to Senior Managementcreate more incentive

The company is a good place to learn how the fundraising works.

Data (Former Employee) Toronto, ON (Canada)

ProsThere are many chances to learn the working flow about fundraising and technique skills. The coworkers are nice.

ConsManagement team need to improve a little bit. The managers didn't care how you finish your tasks even when you had questions. You had none to turn to when you have questions even if they were beyond your responsibility.

Advice to Senior ManagementBetter management. Listen to employees.
