I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Big company well known some training and education available some decent hardworking people at the bottom rungs, you can get two classes per year paid for in an engineering based program at local college.

    Cons

Only people with bad ethics and self serving agendas rise to top management then they sit forever and don't promote or give anyone upward mobility. Too many older white guys and it's still a good old boys club in engineering management with guys who are stuck in the previous century.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Retire please free up your space you have been there too long.

I worked at Xerox full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The people are amazing, benefits are okay, work life balance for some departments is great, allowed to have quite a bit of flexibility as long as meeting goals and getting work completed.

    Cons

Wages are not very competitive, most frozen for quite some time, at times employees feel like they are a number

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of your internal employees, as they are the backbone of the company, instead of hiring outsiders with no Xerox experience for more $, take care of the people who have been there for years with talent, that have had little or no increase, recognize those who work hard.

I worked at Xerox full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I worked in a Verizon Wireless Xerox call center in Federal Way. There was unlimited overtime and I adored my coworkers! Scheduling was also fairly flexible.

    Cons

My biggest problem with this job was the dishonesty. Our pay was based on our statistics on phone calls (anywhere from minimum wage to $13.96/ hour), which meant that people would do whatever was needed to get good statistics, including completely lying to customers to get them off the phone. It is a very negative atmosphere where people tend to hate their job. There is also a lot of miscommunication about policies and expectations, which leaves customer service agents scrambling to figure out what to do on many calls.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a pay scale that increases based on tenure at company to lower turnover. Please train supervisors and floor support better on actually taking calls! There is far far too much uncertainty on policies.

I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It was a job and it got me thru.

    Cons

Its not a career for me because i'm not fooled by the amount of money paid vs. College Career Money

DON'T LET XEROX MONEY IMPRESS YOU, YOU CAN GET MORE.

I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

I get to interact with customers....even though most of them wish they didn't use Xerox.

    Cons

You are given targets that are unattainable with the budget they give you. The job sucks your soul out of you and management could not care less. Management lies and we are also asked to deceive our customers. Management only cares about making their numbers, regardless of whether it is best for the customer or not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop lying to your customers and then apologize to your customers and employee's.

I worked at Xerox full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Worked with a really good team within my department, (me plus 2 others)

    Cons

Most people there are not considerate of others or willing to help others grow. They see only what benefits them and not the center as a whole. Most of the management hides in their office all day and is not involved with other employees. They also do not hold supervisors accountable for their actions even when they do things that are terminable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should be more involved with their employees rather than hiding in offices all day

I worked at Xerox full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Easy to get the job. Always understaffed so overtime available if you want it.

    Cons

8 hours plus a mandatory hour of overtime per shift and constant pressure to do more. No life outside work when work is 10 hours of your day. Extremely unpleasant job burns people out quickly

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When your turnover is so high you should realize the long hours at such an unpleasant job are a contributing factor and not force overtime; you may hold on to your people better if you had part time employees since they wouldn't burn out so fast

I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Learned to support and advise on iPhone/iPad/iPod/iCloud/iTunes/iOS, Apple TV, and Apple computers. Coaching to improve on my soft and call center skills are great.

    Cons

Pay per hour is low, paid holidays policy can be much better, and attendance requirement is extremely strict.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay employees better and work on improving the Cons stated.
