I have been working at YM Inc. full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great place to work if you love working in retail and with clothes. My co-workers are great people to work with. Bonus incentives monthly.

    Cons

Absolutely no balance between personal life and work. No weekends off. Very demanding company as far as expectations of managers. Salary does not equate to the amount of the work load consistently put on management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I suggest cutting down the required management hours (44) and the required "set schedule".

I worked at YM Inc. part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Most co-workers
    - Nice music
    -Nice clothes

    Cons

hours would get cut SO bad I even remember one time not having ONE shift for TWO WEEKS to a MONTH.. noone likes getting a $33 paycheck !
the manager doesn't care for anyone but herself and the people SHE hired (I was hired by a different manager who actually cared about the employees) had to witness some Sales Associates and MGRS talk rudely to the customers (THATS WHAT SIRENS IS KNOWN FOR) when the original mgr came back from her maternity leave she fired 2 girls for NOO reason and who were counting on the job to pay their bills ! and the gossip between co-workers was a huge problem

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Conduct some intense training on the employees! teach the managers how to run their store PROPERLY and help them get a higher education.. Most mgmt are at that position because they started working there in the 10th grade and only have a High School diploma.

I have been working at YM Inc. full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Over the past 20 years I have grown and advanced through hard work. Management see the work you put in and you are rewarded accordingly.
The clothes are great and very affordable and the people you work with are generally very goo too but that usually depends on their attitudes.

    Cons

I wish benefits were better and that there was an rasp plan.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Thank you for providing me with a job that has taken me many places. I believe you get what you put into your job but not all companies recognize and reward accordingly. SUZY SHIER does!

I have been working at YM Inc. part-time

    Pros

    Meet new people
    Co-workers take their job seriously

    Cons

Low pay - min wage unless you're Asst. Mgr or Mgr.
Working extra hours without getting paid because budget was not made so mgr has to cut our hours. Still have to stay and clean although systems are shut down and we are logged off meaning we're technically off work already yet still working.

I have been working at YM Inc. part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good coworkers, staying a little bit longer just for them.

    Cons

Terrible pay, overworked like slaves, too many task to do at one time, budget is impossible to reach

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your company is corrupt, all you do is overwork everyone and you're greedy as hell. It's no wonder employees quit under a year.

I worked at YM Inc. full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I have been working at YM Inc. part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The discount is excellent with clothes already cheap. I love my co-workers and my managers, they treat me as an equal and can ask questions without being criticized.

    Cons

It's minimum wage so not the greatest. They don't give information out ahead of time, sometimes finding out your schedule a day before you work. Asked to do too many things at once, and can't accomplish everything.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

MoD, try to stay out on the floor, we can't handle everything ourselves while you go off doing god knows what.
Higher up people - Don't give us such high expectations, we can't get a $5000 budget on a Wednesday during the middle of winter. Let more people work at one time, I can't be expected to achieve amazing customer service if I have to clean fitting rooms, unpack new merchandise, and be a cashier at the same time.
