    Pros

Great place to work if you love working in retail and with clothes. My co-workers are great people to work with. Bonus incentives monthly.

    Cons

Absolutely no balance between personal life and work. No weekends off. Very demanding company as far as expectations of managers. Salary does not equate to the amount of the work load consistently put on management.

    Advice to Management

I suggest cutting down the required management hours (44) and the required "set schedule".

No balance between work and personal life Terrible compensation Bonuses not getting paid out Unreasonable expectations Terrible, inconsistent communication Pretty high turnover

    Advice to Management

Start caring about more than your bottom line and invest in your people

This company is to get you started. It was a tradition for experience from in-store retail to coporate retail.

    Pros

    • Great people • Entry level learning experience • Cake day at the end of every month • barbecues in the summer months

    Cons

•Under pay. •Lack of loyalty to employees both in store and coporate. •Constant micro managing •Lack of positive recognition •Secrets and cover ups in the corporate office.

    Advice to Management

My advice to the management team is, stop and really listen to the more modern advice. Show positive recognition and follow through with promises. Your employees would be much more happier and 100% loyal to the company.

    Pros

easy to get the job and the interview was not very difficult.

    Cons

bad management bad pay and very unprofessional. it seems like they hire anyone and some of the coworkers are dishonest and unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

My advice to the management is to perform a more thorough hiring process. Instead of hiring anyone i believe that they should improve the quality of their employees as well as the responsibilities and recognition of the employees. The managers of stores should also be more qualified and professional. it seems that they lack the skills and experience to operate the location efficiently and ethically. Management should properly engage with the employees and listen for problems.

    Pros

Absolutely no pro's to this company.

    Cons

The company does not care about junior staff, they are always assumed to be stealing and managers are always demanding more. They want you to stay until 12AM and return at 6-7 to meet the expectations of Head Office. No recognition and promotions are hardly available. In the 5 years I worked there I did not get a raise or a review.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring managers who do not have an education in Management. Head Office should engage with employees and make themselves available and open to hear feedback and take action.

    Pros

Only the coworkers, some members of head office are amazing honestly. I love my district manager, and my regional and everyone from visual.

    Cons

They don't adhere to their policies and ethics, more specifially hiring from within. I understand the importance of outside hires and bringing in new talent but don't offer someone a promotion and then hire someone from the outside without telling them, and let them find out they didn't get the promotion by leaving new hire paperwork out in the open for me to see.

    Pros

-Gaining experience on how to illegally open on statuary holidays

    Cons

-Toxic Workplace -No chance to move up -The chairman himself is known to scold workers -Working 80+ hour weeks -Wages below poverty line even for management -Not paid for hours worked

    Advice to Management

-Greed will not get them far. The chairman needs to treat his team like how he will treat his own children. he can't treat his workforce in Canada the same way he treats the workers in his sweatshops in Bangladesh. Instead of spending million acquiring other companies, they need to slow down and invest that money in their people.
