    Pros

They buy back up to 120 hours of PTO. They also give you 38 days of PTO when you start as long as your full time with benefits.

    Cons

Sometimes there is a large learning curve with respect to medical jargon and it takes a while to learn. Great place to work.

    Advice to Management

My dept has a lot of great ppl in mgmt roles. Maybe the only thing I think they should do is have less meetings.

    Pros

They provide good benefits and offer benefits to part time employees of 24 hours. The organization is constantly changing to meet the goals of the patients. They are a magnet hospital. Many employees have made careers working for the organization.

    Cons

Not forward thinking to utilize strengths of existing employees. They do not provide supervisors with education on how to be management, they just pluck from rank and file one day and place into management the next as long as educational goals are met not people management skills. Policies are not consistent across all locations.

    Pros

Lots of opportunities available within the health system in case you do not like your current role.

    Cons

They need to train more staff and expand them as employees.

    Advice to Management

Please open up more lines of communication between yourself and your employees.

    Pros

Don't see any pros in this department

    Cons

Upper Mgt. displays inappropriate behavior in and around the office. Swearing in open areas, addressing personal issues openly, with no regard to overall policies or procedures. Basically they set their own rules.

    Advice to Management

    stop being underhanded and dishonest.

    Pros

The organization is stabile and growing.

    Cons

Not enough hours in the day to accomplish all that needs to be done.

    Advice to Management

Hire more entry level positions to allow seasoned employees to concentrate on more strategic work, rather than getting bogged down with clerical and basic tasks.

    Pros

A large organization with many different employment opportunities

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunity to advance. Though internal postings are frequent within the organization, there are some situations where people are held back simply because it would be difficult to find someone to replace them if their shift is unusual. (for example, part time, or a few days a week)

    Advice to Management

Provide the same benefits to all employees. Don't make employees use PTO when offices close for bad weather.
With such a widespread organization, based in the health field, it would be wonderful if the employees had access to the physicians and hospitals that are part of the business. Health care could be offset and the cost wouldn't be half as expensive as providing health insurance to the entire base.
