    Pros

A lot of employee programs you can take advantage of. A stable hospital with qualified finance team that keeps it that way.

    Cons

It's a big place they try to communicate to employees but unless it's your section of the hospital you don't hear about it.

    Advice to Management

They really work middle management hard. They can add things to your job without notice.

    Pros

The hospital offers good benefits and hours that are accomodating. There are many positions that are offered on a regular basis and they always try to hire within before they look outside for candidate.

    Cons

It is a corporate attitude. The past few years they have been taking more money out of employees pay to cover the cost of rising healthcare costs. The rate of promotions or raises does not always compensate enough and so one can feel like they are working for less pay over time.

    Pros

The affiliation it has with Yale University is fantastic. Lots of opportunity for learning and research.

    Cons

Pay is terrible! Administrators are overpaid and stingy, caring more about themselves and bureaucracy than patients. It's a very broken syatem.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your physicians better.

They're taking over southern CT, so if you get fired it would be very hard to find another job.
