Pros – Yale has excellent environment for research. Research teams are very good. International standard of work and it is widely collaborated with other universities and institues around the world!
Cons – New Haven is not a big city and the security condition needs to improve. The transportation is not convenient as the metropolitans. Especially when you travel for meeting and conference to some states or countries, which are far away.
Advice to Senior Management – general great

Former Employee – worked at Yale University full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Awesome benefits- great place to start a career. Great people, happy employees.
Cons – Not easy to grow in a department- hard to be "promoted," but departments are so "set in ways" it is hard to for new positions to be created.

Former Employee – worked at Yale University full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Great benefits and reasonable work hours can make Yale a good place for employees with children.
Cons – Yale is a difficult place for younger employees to excel and advance, since pay and promotions are tied more strongly to years of service than to performance. Pay overall lags behind private-sector jobs, and the university often takes a very long time to implement strategy changes.

Former Employee – worked at Yale University full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Lots of interesting work opportunities. Opportunities for attending interesting talks. Nice people in my experience. Good benefits package once you get hired and competitive wages. A great place to start a career or gain experience.
Cons – It might take some time to get hired. You might find after a while in the same job that you have to get more education or training or go elsewhere if you want to advance.

Current Employee – been working at Yale University full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Great educational opportunities, great co-workers, great benefits package.
Cons – No room for growth or upward mobility, nepotism or favoritism, expected to work 10-20 hours past the 40 hours per week salaried, immense pressure if you do not work up to this standard. Constant reorganization of job duties to ensure productivity with added duties each time an update is made. One person does the job of 2-3 people. Those who do not contribute to the work environment are not held accountable if they have personal preference with the administration. Scapegoating and bullying if you do not agree with these practices.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire supportive management who have managerial skills (i.e. managers who can provide concrete advice for improvement rather than "you're not working up to par". Don't under-staff programs, overwork employees and expect to retain dedicated and skilled workers. Allow feedback to managerial staff by their employees.

Former Employee – worked at Yale University full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Prestigious Ivy League University with cutting edge research facilities, a beautiful campus and a wide variety of social activities available.
Cons – Opportunities for advancement are often influenced by cronyism and preferential treatment, as opposed to a more objective evaluation of an individual's ability to perform effectively in a role. There is very ineffective management and leadership within many of the departments throughout the University, as people are hired into these roles or promoted without having the requisite managerial skills needed in order to be successful.
Advice to Senior Management – Train, train, train your management and hold them accountable for failures in leadership. Tap into the employees at the non-management level to obtain feedback on operational issues and opportunities for improvement before making decisions that ultimately do not resolve the core issues.
