I worked at Yale University as an intern for more than a year
Pros – The labs are clean and newly updated, a lot of the other buildings are not. The wide variety of researchers at the University makes it easy to find information when needed. The ease of access to journals and other materials is outstanding.
Cons – New Haven was not my favorite city to live or work in. Depending on the laboratory, the work environment was sometimes less than optimal.

I have been working at Yale University full-time for less than a year
Pros – Excellent benefits with a free Yale Health Plan and generous contributions to a 401K plan. Faculty are dedicated and knowledgable.
Cons – Parking is tight and you will probably have to pay around $100 per month to park. There are some security issues with the occasional mugging in the area.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep communication open

Pros – Yale has excellent environment for research. Research teams are very good. International standard of work and it is widely collaborated with other universities and institues around the world!
Cons – New Haven is not a big city and the security condition needs to improve. The transportation is not convenient as the metropolitans. Especially when you travel for meeting and conference to some states or countries, which are far away.

Pros – Awesome benefits- great place to start a career. Great people, happy employees.
Cons – Not easy to grow in a department- hard to be "promoted," but departments are so "set in ways" it is hard to for new positions to be created.

I worked at Yale University full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Great benefits and reasonable work hours can make Yale a good place for employees with children.
Cons – Yale is a difficult place for younger employees to excel and advance, since pay and promotions are tied more strongly to years of service than to performance. Pay overall lags behind private-sector jobs, and the university often takes a very long time to implement strategy changes.

I worked at Yale University full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Lots of interesting work opportunities. Opportunities for attending interesting talks. Nice people in my experience. Good benefits package once you get hired and competitive wages. A great place to start a career or gain experience.
Cons – It might take some time to get hired. You might find after a while in the same job that you have to get more education or training or go elsewhere if you want to advance.
