Pros
+ Good, hardworking people to work with
+ Understanding of balance between family and work
+ Working for company that makes great quality products
+ Easy to be proud of company heritage, lineage, and vision
Cons
- Poor Communication, poor review and appraisal process
- Often slow moving to market & industry change (hard to turn a battleship)
- Reactionary, trend-follower not leader in most categories
- Budgets getting smaller, not bigger
Pros
Nice Company. Nothing Exciting though.
Cons
Outsourced my job and kicked us to the curb.
Advice to Senior Management
Support America.
Pros
The objectives of the NY office were clear, and the team there the right mix of people to actually make it happen. The location was great, the hours never a problem, and the people smart and relatively interesting, with a few glaring exceptions.
Cons
The charter of the NY office was clear to the NY office but not to ANY OTHER subsidiary within this very large global company. Who was actually calling the shots/directing the strategy was never really clear, so it was difficult to ask questions, shift direction, make change.
Advice to Senior Management
Clarify the role of the subsidiary and empower the people there to succeed!
