good potential but a very unfulfilling workplace and disappointing experience

Product Specialist (Former Employee) Dubai (United Arab Emirates)

ProsTravel, products & non-management colleagues are pleasant

ConsPoor pay, poor incentives, little respect offered to staff, inexperienced management and no ambition or drive to attempt making any real impact on the market. You will spend more time reporting about nothing than doing something worth reporting about. No career path for non-japanese staff.

Advice to Senior ManagementTrust your employees & there strengths, be more willing to take risks and less cowardly. Start promoting locally based staff more readily and be prepared to support employees more. Start making the management more multi-cultural, reduce movement between non-linked departments.

Not a good company to work with, managed by Japanese staff in their own Japanese way of working

Sales and Marketing (Current Employee) Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

ProsNice office, big desks, laptop to each employee irrespective of designation, pick and drop facility @ Rs. 1,500/- per month (Delhi NCR), Big bazar is near by so u dont need to spend extra time on weekends for grossery items

ConsBad work culture, very rigid management, frequent changes in top management (3 new MDs in last 5 years), Japanese way of working in India, less practical approach of work, Unrealistic sales targets, Overpaid Managers and underpaid executives, sr. executives, AMs and DMs

Advice to Senior ManagementSince you are working in India then try to adopt Indian Culture. We as employees may do something which you want us to do because we are getting paid for it, but dealers and distributors don't work on Japanese terms even if you terminate them frequently
