    Pros

They have a Solid foundation, treat employees with respect and have a good reputation. They also have numerous locations an global opportunities.

    Cons

There are a lot of people that have been there a long time so although they support advancement, sometimes it's hard to move up.

    Pros

    Just the pay and benefits.

    Cons

Corporate or up end management can care less about how the distribution centers and plants all over and only care about their glass building and boat up in Canton,. Advise that the other people are human also and are not being treated like one in el paso tx SMTC operations. the wrong people were chosen to lead that team and to this day Chad and corporate refuse and deny their horrible decision. wake up people

    Advice to Management

Wake up and give attention to the distribution centers and operations..those people are the onew who make the company and no wonder you guys ain't doing well, because you guys can care less about them.

    Pros

Flexible schedule, good medical coverage and good people. Overall it is a good work environment. It can get intense, but over all it is laid back.

    Cons

Tends to low ball employees with salary in the hope that saying good job will motivate people to stay and work hard.

    Advice to Management

    Set realistic goals for bonuses.

    Pros

Good benefits. Like any job, need to do research and walk in with negotiating a good compensation. Building was nice and co-workers were friendly. Upper management took the time to learn my name and set up 1 on 1 meetings during my first few months.

    Cons

My immediate supervisor was clueless about my job. Passive aggressive behavior and not friendly. Good workers get overlooked. No work life balance. Glass building is nice to look at but not comfortable in the summer.

    Advice to Management

Do not promote on seniority. Management is a skill set

    Pros

My supervisor was a great person to work for and very supportive. The building is large and nice to walk in the winter months when you need to get away from your desk.

    Cons

Moved people up that shouldn't have been moved and overlooked ones that should have.

    Pros

Great benefits, pay, employee relations, low stress, great first job out of college, tuition reimbursement available, facility is really nice. Go to work at 8, leave at 5 = great work/life balance.

    Cons

I can only speak of my OEM because I'm not sure how the other group dynamics are but for the OEM I work for: work is slow, management is very dysfunctional, jobs are not very technical, mediocre job, not much growth opportunity

    Advice to Management

At least for my division, stop micromanaging and assign tasks that will benefit both the group and the engineer. Management always seems to be bashing heads and nothing seems to get done. Too many people in higher positions which brings a lot of inefficiency.

  10. Recent MGMT changes for Engineering DPT have created a toxic work environment. Wait a few years before taking a job.

    Pros

If you're only interest is money, this is a good place for you.

    Cons

Many MGMT issues from bottom to top.

    Toxic work environment

    No work/life balance

Difficulty getting quality support from other groups in the company

Very manual work. MGMT doesn't like using technology.

    Advice to Management

All need training in how to be a good leader/manager. No one in MGMT has a Masters or degree in Management. Very unorganized.

    Pros

The people that you work with are great. Very nice and friendly. Although this could be due to the department and what you make of it. My manager thought well in advance for when I started and made plans with my mentor onto what I would be working on. I was always busy and working but not overworked.

    Cons

The cafeteria is horrible but was recently renovated and now cost even more. There were many required activities for interns that were not enjoyable and a waste of time.
