I have been working at Yodlee full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Open communication from a couple of executives such as CEO and CFO

    Cons

    1. Full of politics, engineering management, those senior directors are root causes of the problems accumulated in the last 2 years, and are now counted on to solve those problems. What an irony?! Good luck to Yodlee.
    2. It is also very ironical the engineering management in charge has never been an engineer, what the heck? You think technical leaders can not take care of quality of products and can not manage projects and deliver, while only you can do? Since you don't know anything of technology, most of what you can do is to play politics and attack those good technical leaders and try to kill them, and get people like you to the management and form the secret party and conspiracy. Good luck and you need that ...
    2. It is interesting more and more hands-on strong people left, and the remaining are mostly who are "proud" of communication skills and can "coordinate", can "lead", can manipulate politics, but can not solve very simple problems in technical or product.
    3. The company can not be profitable, those dreams such as IPO are permanently gone.
    4. HR is used to do bad things to the people, there is no HR policy to fairly treat employees.
    5. The culture is very rude, totally disrespectful to the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Good luck to Yodlee, your problems have been very deep and been there for a long time. I am sure you will need such luck to survive.

Fire those management who play politics and attack others behind the scene.

    I worked at Yodlee

    Pros

    # Fast paced - You can learn as much as you can and contribute like wise, that is if you have at least some information on why you are designing/ coding as you do.

    # The application I worked on was very interesting . If they had someone to at least give some orientation, it is a very nice business flow to know.

    # Some systems are designed with very high end technologies and frameworks. Its very good to work on them.

    Cons

    # No guidance/documentation.
    # Other employees Hide information about the working of system or any other information which is helpful to get the job done even if they do know .
    # Very dissatisfied with the way they show partiality towards certain section of people.
This section of people just "talked" ...and never "worked" .
    #Very confused workplace.
    # Expects you to work evenings and weekends with out even asking you. If you do not comply, you are fired.
    # Unwritten rule is your weekday starts on Friday and ends by Friday , as there was always an issue to work on from Friday evening.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    # No advice, as they really know what should be done, but simply --there is no room to do it.

I have been working at Yodlee

    Pros

I would say Yodlee is one of the best employers I've worked for in my career as it relates to benefits and perks. The work life balance is great. You're treated like a professional, and no one watches over your shoulder, or keeps track of when you come and go. As long as you get your work done and don't let anything drop you're given amazing flexibility, which is fantastic for working parents. Also, ALL health care benefits for the whole family are completely paid for by the company! And there's a kitchen stocked with food at all times. The people are smart and friendly, and depending on the department you're in, can be very fun to hang out with too.

    Cons

The innovation and products are great, but the quality and deployments leave something to be desired. The company needs to focus more on execution and quality control, rather than coming up with new ideas and products.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on perfecting the great products you already have an offer to clients, before moving on to the next great idea.

I have been working at Yodlee

    Pros

Finally after many years of its existence, Yodlee products are seeing some demand in the market. Flexibility in work schedule, benefits, great sales team.

    Cons

Extreme (almost inhuman) work pressure without due recognition, no structured process, everything goes on in an ad hoc manner, passing the buck seems to be the culture, can't really blame people, they are all so overworked. Terrible product quality, terrible engineering and release management teams. Very very poor leadership in Product Development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace the Product Development top brass, employees will be much happier, overall company will do much better.

I have been working at Yodlee

    Pros

Business is going great for Yodlee. There are doing a number of deals, and the deal flow continues. Without a doubt Yodlee is a growing area and they are well positioned for growth.

    Cons

Senior managements has no consistency. They repeatedly change priorities and there is not a willingness to honestly evaluate the companies true capabilities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to more honestly evaluate the true productivity of the company. Also, do not blame low level employees for the failures of senior management.

I have been working at Yodlee

    Pros

Benefits are paid for by the company infull, which is nice. Lunch room is filled with food and drinks But overall it's not worth it.

    Cons

Disorganized. Lack of support from every group. Lack of communication. No accountability. Managements "don't want to know" attitude. Lack of respect. No work life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get involved! Know what is missing and work with the "appropritate" managers to find the solution. Understand the work load. Your team is in survival mode, processes and staffing will help remedy all of this. But most of all get rid of what is poisoning the Department.

    I worked at Yodlee

    Pros

The flexible working schedule, generous pay and benefit
    Friendly, hardworking and talented coworkers
    Newbies "talent show"

    Cons

1, The management didn't seem to have the long term plan, strategy and vision.
    2. The upper/middle management seemed to be incompetent and lacking integrity. "Yes" man occupied middle management layer; many seemed to work for their own career growth, not company's.
    3. Over promising to the customers, but cannot keep up delivering
    4. Losing core engineering talent, high turn over. Slave drivers adored and resented...
    5. Inconsistency - last quarter you could be the rock star, next year you would be let go. The management tended to blame on an individual contributor for the bad results
    6. Lacking honesty and transparency in communicating the good/bad news to the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Firing the ground troops will not bring the company anywhere. Think long term and sustainable strategies and plans. Major restructuring required in the upper and middle management. Treat your employees like you treat your customers, and how you want to be treated.
