    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsThere were Good people, and it was a very nice office. It seemed like upper management really cared about employees

ConsThe process was extremely lacking so the quality of work suffered and many dings from the client throughout the time I was there

    Unhappy environment.

    (Former Employee)

ProsCompany is known worldwide so landing a job at Y&R will certainly enrich your resume and increase your chances of getting a better job in the future.

ConsThere seems to be a huge lack of trust, respect and communication within and between departments. People spend most of their time looking for ways to create conflict, instead of focusing on the solutions. There are talented people but management is very old school and highly emphasizes their authority over participation as a group.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your employees as they may be able to contribute with good ideas and solutions, be kind and cultivate a happier environment.

Very beneficial experience to gain insight into the advertising industry.

    Account Management (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsThey really want the interns to get an all around perspective of the agency and different roles within the agency. They have weekly seminars with directors from the different departments to help the interns learn how each role within the agency contributes to the success. They treat the interns like they are part of the Y&R family. Great overall experience.

ConsYou are placed on one account for the duration of your internship so there is not a lot of room for movement, but you get to see exactly what it would be like as a career decision. You learn every function that your boss does for the client and exactly what you would be doing if you were to take that role of job within the agency.
