    Flexible hours, not always flexible

    Pros

Great pay and for food service decent hours

    Cons

Lots of nights and weekends. Shrinking margins means less labor dollars so you must do more with less yearly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Get in good with the leaders and show them what you got and you will advance

Very political so you need to know how to navigate through the politics to get noticed and promoted
Competitive at almost all levels so assertiveness is a plus otherwise you won't go anywhere
Hard to get hired - Must have high education and experience or know someone in the company
Mid Managers focus on their own growth they don't follow through on team members personal of professional growth

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I worked at Yum!

    Pros

Can learn a lot with the right supervisor.

    Cons

If you don't have a college degree I would suggest that you don't apply. This company is all about degrees no matter how much experience you have.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure to look at everybody that does something in a department not just the top level. You have to remember that it is not always the supervisors or managers getting you the information that you may need. It might be someone that is a lower level that has come up everything you need and it is that person you should reward not always management.

    I worked at Yum!

    Pros

Ability to work from home if needed. Pay is good.

    Cons

Ability to work from home if needed = you are expected to be available outside of office hours on a regular basis. Major emphasis on organizational hierarchy. Upper level management (VPs) are totally disconnected from their teams.

I worked at Yum! full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

At the location I was at, my co-workers are the reason I stayed so long. It was a "home" atmosphere.
It is easy to move up in the company.

    Cons

Management needs to get a handle on things. I was a shift lead, because of their dis-organization, I now decline any offer as a management position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Taco bill needs people who actually care about what happens with the company, as well as their employees.
