I have been working at Yum!

    Pros

    1. A Very Professional environment with very competent people to work with
    2. Great support form the management to spear head projects.
    3. Young and competitive company in a growing industry makes sure that the future is bright.

    Cons

    1. Its a very specialized Job. Ability to shift later to different industries within the same department is difficult.
    2. Hardly any sales function. So not best for people wanting staring their careers in Sales and marketing profiles. One should join later in career.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

India is a high growth potential country with a waste geography. It is important to be present in all areas even if it is not financially viable to open a full format store in a particular area. For Such areas smaller non seating format stores can be opened focusing only on take away. This advice is specially for KFC.

company is selling a lot of US stores. International is the only good place left to work

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are forcing 20+ year people out. These are the people who know your business from an Operations perspective. It's no wonder store operations continue to suffer. There used to be standards that were enforced, just not talked about.

    I worked at Yum!

    Pros

Yum has a great recognition culture. Most of the people that work there are dedicated to what they do and have a passion for the restaurant business. It has a family atmosphere.

    Cons

Requires almost an unlimited dedication. Long hours are not unusual and although not specifically stated that they are expected, the underlying message is that they are.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please remember that employees work very hard to accomplish what they do. It might be nice to encourage more of a work life balance so they are getting some time off to spend with family.
