I have been working at ZF TRW full-time

    Pros

Good pay, good management in my experience and an overall nice place to work. Competitive vacation and 401k match.

    Cons

Health insurance could be better, but this may change with the recent ZF merger. Facilities need a bit of an update along with some.of the equipment.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Management has always been good in my experience. From supervisors to directors, these people have always been willing to help and provide direction when needed.

    Pros

Claim to support work life balance, people are nice and respectful of one another. Pay is competitive. Have been acquired by other companies. Perhaps a new acquisition will streamline processes. Only 300 people. It's like "family".

    Cons

Outdated processes. It's 2014 and they still like to keep paper records. Are you sure it's not 1980? They use SAP but not to it's full capacity. Refuse to change. A majority of the people have been there for 10, 20+ years. They don't know of any other way. Where are the new people? I am guessing they don't stay. Every site functions differently. It's a large company and focuses like a small start up. Since there are only 300 people, you either fit in or you don't. Function off spreadsheets that have been passed from person to person. Spreadsheets are used to come up with financial numbers. Certain departments use these spreadsheets instead of using SAP. Very manual.

    Advice to Management

Streamline processes between locations, get everyone on the same computer system, stop using paper as your back up. The main computer storage is going to become full. Encourage change & employee development. Find out what areas need improvement and create databases to assist people with their job. Reduce manual processes and encourage value added work.
