I have been working at ZOG Digital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A no drama, very client results oriented company. Management is a tight nit, caring, enthusiast and long-standing team. They know digital marketing right up there with the top of the industry. If you are honest, very driven and hardworking, you have a long-term place with this group. Those that deliver are rewarded and appreciated. Those that don't fit exit. This company will no doubt continue to grow each year as they have been.

    Cons

Takes a year or more to earn trust. Office can get loud due to ping pongs, basketballs, sarcasm and jokes flying. Percentage of women could be higher. The ladies that are there, are veterans of the industry and the company -- each happen to be super talented and smart -- so why not hire more.

    Advice to Management

Keep focused on your mission. Ignore the haters. As they say -- they are just gonna hate. More team meetings would also be a positive.

I have been working at ZOG Digital (More than a year)

    Pros

ZOG Digital is a decent place to work, but you have to be willing to put the effort in and prove you're worth something and then consistently reprove it. It's still a small company and each person is expected to perform well. There is definitely a 'Type-A' personality office, and is male centric. The work atmosphere is pretty relaxed: casual dress, beer, ping-pong, dogs. However, you'll need a thick skin to work here because there isn't a HR department and pretty much anything goes regarding office conversation. Technically there is an open vacation policy, but you're not encouraged to take any time off. After a year you can start to earn modest raises. The company is still small, so if you prove yourself valuable there are some marginal opportunities for growth.

    Cons

Moderate turnover, inconsistent leadership and demands from CEO. Pay is slightly below industry average, but if you're valuable you will receive modest raises. No 401k, employee buy-in or realistic equity options. Management can be slow to deliver on promises. CEO practices a 'boy's club' mentality (could be a pro if you're into that).

    Advice to Management

Clearly communicate expectations and demands to employees. Incentivize employees with timely benefits, raises or bonuses and more in-office perks to retain employees. Expand on team building activities.

I have been working at ZOG Digital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

ZOG Digital puts an emphasis on finding ways to innovate and is always tasking their departments with finding new, creative solutions to build onto their services. Just like any company, they are growth minded, which means an aggressive schedule, where everyone is expected to contribute. You are expected to work which, unfortunately for some people, mean you can't coast here.

    Cons

The place offers plenty of team engagement, but I'd like to see more employee buy-in. Spend a bit more time coaching teams and reviewing the overall status of goals and discuss on a daily frequency where hangups are occurring. Its best to know where someone is struggling before the situation devolves into something worse.

    Advice to Management

Work load can feel overwhelming at times, but continue to be supportive of new team members and encouraging new strategies.

    Pros

There are none to speak of.

    Cons

They are a terrible and unprofessional atmosphere with poor quality employees. If you have a shred of dignity you'll find another place to work. They belittle your work when they have not accomplished anything themselves. The CEO will probably sell the company as soon as possible, if he can this time, I honestly don't know how he sold the first one. You can easily find a better marketing firm, they are everywhere in Arizona.

    Advice to Management

Get an HR department, like every other business in the modern world.

    Pros

    No pros worth the hostility

    Cons

Most hostile and uncomfortable working environment I've ever experienced. Super high turnover from anyone under an executive level because of the insanity there. Any positive reviews here are coerced by management.

    Advice to Management

Stop spamming your Glassdoor with fake reviews from current employees too afraid not to do what you say.

    Pros

Working with successful industry professionals Great Atmosphere Great career development opportunities Casual Attire Competitive pay No micro-management Management open to suggestions

    Cons

Very few cons in my time at ZOG Digital. In order to be successful here you have to be motivated to go above and beyond to impress but your accomplishments WILL be recognized.

    Advice to Management

Continue emphasizing and promoting innovation. Management is always open to looking at the new best ways to do things and listen to the employees. Everyone's opinion is relevant.

    Pros

No micro managing. Can essentially choose and do your own work. Management has loads of experience and open to talking. CEO is always a good time. Casual dress. Take your dog to work Fridays.

    Cons

Not many, but some of these negative reviews on here couldn't handle the high expectations and refused to go above and beyond themselves. Kind of cold in the office but then again it's 70+ right outside.

I worked at ZOG Digital full-time

    Pros

    - Some incredibly kind and intelligent people. - Jovial, start-up atmosphere complete with ping pong, POWER, and Dog Fridays. - A client roster rapidly expanding in both size and prestige. - Senior management is incredibly approachable. - People often come in relatively FIRED UP. - Ernie the Lab.

    Cons

    - Pretty poor compensation. - Benefits are a joke. - Vague equity points system that ranks up there with Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster in terms of legitimacy. - Decently high turnover. - Office politics abound in every workplace. Just pray to the employment gods your supervisor approves of you. - Cripplingly poor internal communication.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees. Please, for the love of all that is holy, value your employees.

    Pros

+ Casual dress + Flexible schedule + Some of the best in the industry + Bring your dog to work Friday's + Relaxed environment + Nice people

    Cons

    - Not really a con but if you don't have a drive to do well then this probably isn't the place for you - A little directionless when you first start

    Advice to Management

Maybe give a little more direction to new hires. Give them some basic projects and some team building exercises.
