Trainee

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Zain

ProsThey don't take the training job seriously and they don't even know if you show up or not except on your first and last days

ConsYou should take more responsibilities toward the training and put more efforts in it and it won't hurt if you added more recourses

Advice to Senior ManagementDesignate a team in each floor for training

Great Experiance

Specialist (Former Employee)
Riyadh (Saudi Arabia)

I worked at Zain full-time for less than a year

ProsNot high competition. If you do just your job, it will be more than enough so the competition is not so high which will give us advantage to get promoted soon.

ConsWorst thing I found about it is two things: The top management seems to be careless about the company but not sure after the new CEO, Gabbani. The second thing is people are very relaxing and a lot of the guys just don't want to do their job.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Best Place to Work in Jordan

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Zain full-time for more than 5 years

ProsZain Jordan is progressive organization with a lot of focus on the technology so as an engineer you will gain a very good experience, also Zain has a world class benefits package which include (not limited to) world wide first class insurance, entertainment allowance, bonus, good rewarding system, etc...

ConsSalary benchmarking is not a good practice, there should be a new better program in order to avoid losing employees just for salary purposes.

Advice to Senior ManagementBetter engage the employees in the company strategy.

Unprofessional and discriminating

Executive (Former Employee)
Kayfān (Kuwait)

I worked at Zain full-time for more than 8 years

ProsDynamic working environment.
Good team work.
Relatively technologically advanced company

ConsDiscrimination is blatantly practiced. Kuwaitis get better salaries and get promoted despite many of them being incompetent. Good people, if they are foreigners, get ignored and spend many years in the same role. Management in Zain Kuwait is well below par. Many of them would not make it to clerical jobs in more competitive environments.

Advice to Senior ManagementInstill a culture of meritocracy, where the most capable people get rewarded and promoted.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
