    Pros

The owners are very good and helpful. Listen to the concerns of the employees. They are approachable and very down to earth. CEO has ego and is short tempered, but like it is mentioned in one of the recent review comments, its the passion. and when a person follows a motto "Nothing is impossible", that person will always have an ego and will always be short tempered, name few similar people. Steve Jobs.. no one liked him, Bill Gate... co founder did not like him... etc....they both gave us products which was blindly acceptable. People were/are waiting to join these organizations. CFO/CSO, a wonderful person and well planned.Very thorough, tactical and sometimes Shrewd.. which again the position demands it

    Cons

Relatives should realize that they do not own the company and stop playing games. Pass on right information about deserving candidates, rather than selecting and nominating one from there own group. Sometimes its a mafia law... you go against them or talk rudely to them, your career here doomed. With no market/prior experience these fellows act as if they know everything, but using Google and having experience are two different things, is a realization that has to come from within. Relatives, specially in US has an ego more that the owner. If you mess around, then you will find yourself and your career within the WWF ring. Unfortunately CEO knows everything, but employees are asked to leave or warned. Cause a different story is presented to the CEO by the relatives. But But but, once the CEO comes to know your abilities, then the relatives have no option but to adjust and play mind games

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice to owners - Listen to the comments from earlier employees, not all but some comments are helpful to give you insight of what really is happening behind your back. Your hard work to bring the company to what it is today is with the help from co-founders (Except one), but not the relatives. The relatives are flowing with the tide. Get someone matured in there place. Who can take matured decisions. You are loosing good people in US office cause of politics. And GROUP ISM exists in your organization, part of the favorite group are getting promoted and recommended for salary hikes. Open your eyes, before it is too late. Nobody will talk against them cause they rule the LIFE of employee working in their team. I have heard that there are few people who tried to object their decision and rebel against the them. They were asked to go immediately. Get someone matured. You cannot have someone with limited education or masters from timbaktu ( in the age range or 30 - 34 years old to take calm, matured and business related decisions. Take an opinion poll and you will get the answers yourself. You cannot have anyone copying you

    Pros

    Good pay and bonus structure

    Cons

No work life balance. Dishonesty to clients, inferior product (could be great if they would listen and adapt.) Many employees are on Visa from India and are continually threatened to be sent home if they don't do XYZ. There are no quality checks done and decisions are made in absolute silos.

    Pros

I have been at ZeOmega for close to 4 years in a technical role, and I love the company ( and no I am not a family member or from India). Is everyone and everything 100% perfect, no – but I have never worked with more friendlier employees and smarter people, willing to team work and supportive (including the owners). You are not just a number like you can be with larger companies. Your voice is heard . The product is amazing and it is making strong strides in the industry - when people keep their minds on the "BIG" picture, they will see the company's mission is to impact healthcare and lives and to build a strong company from within. Management is listening and they are focused on ensuring the right people stay at ZeOmega. There are tons of happy , diverse employees( all backgrounds and nationalities) who are serious about building their careers long term and working for ZeOmega - with work life balance and managers who are not on their backs 24/7.

    Cons

Unfortunately the opinions of others on GlassDoor, that does not speak for everyone!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay open to listening to all employees and addressing issues. No matter what the nay-sayers are saying- the company is strong with tons of the right people employed, who are solution oriented and that outweighs the opinions of those who are disgruntled.

    Pros

    1) Lot to learn and implement
    2) Many growth opportunities within the departments and possibility of inter-department transfer
    3) Excellent product, which has evolved with so many years employee contributions which is keeping up with market and customers need
    4) Excellent company for those who think out of the box and want their ideas to heard and implemented
    5) Top management and mid management are approachable
    6) Owners are very down to earth and are well informed about each and every employee in the organization
    7) Salary were revised recently to match the market
    8) Owners try to provide benefits to keep the employees happy

I am not relative, or co-founder or anywhere connected to the mgmt, but the recent reviews and comments by few unhappy, unsatisfied employees/ex-employees led me to write my views about this company. I have been with this company for over 5 years and have worked with every co-founder. There have been multiple opportunities to work with the owners and the experience has always been wonderful. People are valued for their work, dedication and sincerity and not for other reasons. People who are expecting to relax while at work no pressure and that they should not be held responsible for anything will surely not find a proper footing in this organization. This is not a cyber cafe to be sitting, browsing and whiling away time, the organization demands dedication and work too.

As for the owners, they came a hard way to bring this company to the level where it is today, a lot of pain, passion and work has gone into it and if they are being protective about it, I am sure this has a valid reason. The anger and ego that is being talked about should be considered as passion too. There is no such perfect company or organization where there are no flaws or issues. Well if I am wrong I would like to question all those who are unhappy and left and said a lot of unpleasant things why did they leave their company and join ZeOmega :). Most people who are being accused of favoritism have worked for years and spent a lot of their personal time also to get the work done so I think we should look at both sides of the coin and not tag them. I would also like to question how many CEOs actually know their staff by name? so this is a story of half empty glass vs half full glass.

Management is open to ideas and options. The company has a long way to go and the co founders and owners are passionate about the company and people. The recent re location being a wonderful example of the same. As for those talking about long working hours, the office hours are flexible people get work from home options as well.

    Cons

Long hours are coz they have to coordinate with the team in Bangalore but then it again depends on how we organize the work and prioritize it. Teams have recently been set to work in the US hours to protect interest of those working in US and vice versa.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

May have to look deeper into issues people are reporting may be there are a some points that can be rectified.

    Pros

Ability to learn software product development, release management process. Enjoy working with implementation managers, development staff -- pretty patient. Opportunities to learn in's and out's related to healthcare population management, Medicaid/Medicare managed care.

    Cons

Would like to see more defined procedures and processes documented. But that probably could be said for most newish companies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None really, its obvious the CEO is caring and sincere in his endeavors

    Pros

New employee orientation is about the best thing about the company and it quickly goes down hill from there, as you come to realize the ugly truth. The best thing about working at ZeOmega is knowing that you won't have to work there forever. And I guess the PTO, because you'll need the time off to get away from the insanity.

    Cons

There are so many cons for working for this company that it is difficult to know where to begin, so I'll start with the CEO. The CEO is absolutely full of himself and runs the company like a dictatorship, unfortunately he is an incompetent dictator, who has been known to yell at clients and hang up on them during conference calls. Add that to his incredible paranoia and you have a recipe for disaster. If he treats his clients badly, he treats his employees worse. He thinks nothing about berating, belittling and demeaning employees in public and unfortunately this management style is rampant throughout the organization. And because he can't get out of the weeds, no employee is safe from his tirades. Managers have no idea how to manage people and there is a large amount of employee turnover, as competent people run for the hills or are chased off. Incompetent people are placed in roles because they are friends or family of the CEO. CEO doesn't trust his employees and employees are fearful for their jobs. The benefits are abysmal and very expensive. The company using a bad software system to track everything that is done in the company, so employees waste hours of their time recording what they've done, how they've done it, and where they are in a project. Hours of needless unproductive time are spent on this software. Speaking of time, employees are expected to be "on" at all hours and if they are not "on" at all times, they are seen as disloyal and lazy, so real work-life balance doesn't exist. Employees are viewed as disposable commodities and not like they are the company's most valuable resources. When that many people leave an organization, you would think someone would think long and hard about what the problem is, but they don't. There is no real vision, mission or company values and that is readily apparent. My advice to anyone considering working for this company is to just move along, I wouldn't wish this organization on my worst enemy. Given how the CEO treats his clients and employees I would be surprised if this company survives.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The owners should give up managing, as they don't have a clue how to manage. Hand the company over to people who know how to run an organization in the United States. Compensate people fairly, according to the market. Increase employer portion of benefits' premium. 401k match should start immediately and vest each year, as nobody wants to stay there for one year, much less five years, unless they are tied to the company because of Visa requirements. Flexible spending should begin when benefits begin. Get rid of BizApp, it's a piece of trash. Stop the nepotism -- hiring friends and relatives is rampant. People should be hired based on what they know, not who they know. Treat your employees with dignity and respect, then maybe you would get the same in return.

    Pros

The product itself is not awful but there are easier and more robust ones out there.
With the money they raised, you'd hope it would have gone towards a better product, but instead it just went to more management. They are SO top heavy.

    Cons

The challenges are too numerous to list, but we'll try:

It is difficult to get past the nickel and diming mentality- what you see is not what you get in the "package"...note to internal and external clients
Salary is low- particularly for this area
    Inequality for women abounds
The CEO does have a bloated ego and plays the blame game, as do they all.
All of the Upper management team openly berates and chastises others in public- must be an foreign thing as others know better.
Client satisfaction has been rocky at best but this is for employees, not clients, but you will painfully feel this if in that area
Many practices are shady at best--HR, Financial, Sales, etc
If you are out of a job, you will be highly courted/sought after- you'll understand why once there. I know it's tough, but you can hold out unless you just want the work experience. Don't think you'll be immune to being in the unemployment line soon though, they're mastering the layoff if you try to help outside of what they have proscribed.
If you're brave enough to accept an offer, get every bit of it in writing- spelled out to the nth
You cannot work normal hours - expect 60+ hour weeks, you cannot "shut down" and really take time off
You're presumably hired for what you bring to the table, yet they want to do it their way. Seems their way has only gotten them a handful of clients- check the wires...
There are no policies and procedures that are followed, yet you will be micro-managed, which basically is because they don't have good policies.
If you're a brown-noser, you might do very well, the weaker, unskilled ones generally do, as they know no better. Future employers, watch out. I really am amazed at how some inept people are still there, but again, they are good at kissing something.
There really is no accountability, AT ALL.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I've experienced it first hand-- they will not listen, nor do they care, so I will not waste my time or breath.
I am sure of one thing though, a "positive" review will come on this board very soon after this one is posted, as it seems the norm for countering the truth.

    Pros

You can learn enough to go somewhere else.

    Cons

If you want to be micromanaged, work all of the time and work where the VP's and directors walk around to take attendance twice a day then this is the place to be. You are expected to work around the clock. It is frowned upon to take time off or get sick. You are expected to work with no recognition. There are no processes. Management sucks. There is no such thing as flexibility there. If you are not Indian you do not get any of the perks. If you are Indian you can go to India for weeks at a time and take extended vacation. If you are American you will be frowned upon if you take a few days off. You are expected to check your email continuously and after a while of working there you become brain washed and forget that there are normal companies out there and there is such a thing as life outside of work. It is not normal to work the amount of time you will work at ZeOmega. STAY FAR AWAY.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take management training classes. Learn how to talk to people. Don't throw people under the bus.

Sr management never cares about employees ,Hr is not existent..They just listen to what director says and fires employees who are experienced and they don't have any work life balance.
LIke other mentioned there is Open favoritism .It reminds me of Typical Indian company and same culture exists .Sr management listens to feed back of there Implementation managers and Lead BA if they like u...ur in the company ..if they dislike you ..your surely going be fired!!

    Pros

A lot of smart folks there but since there are no processes and procedures, it makes your job twice as hard

    Cons

I don't know what more I can say that hasn't already been said. Management (both upper and lower) are not aware of what is needed to run a successful organization. Favoritism abounds; idiocy is the norm. As one reviewer previously stated, they hire folks who have no job...no one stays here if they have any sense or transferable skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is not India. Start treating your clients, both internal and external, with respect. Stop pointing fingers. With this many bad reviews, one has to start taking it to heart and think maybe there's something to it?
