    Pros

They have an amazing internship program put in place. There are intern activities so you get to meet all of the other interns, and there are opportunities to meet with executives.

    Cons

Can get boring if your manager doesn't have projects set aside for you

    Pros

Great People. Great benefits. Solid company. Opportunity to work on many different projects. Great work/life balance.

    Cons

Things are a little foggy with the recent acquisition of Motorola Solutions. Directions that used to be clear are now no longer. It feels like we are waiting for things to settle before we make any more decisions.

    Advice to Management

Encourage those that do not contribute rather than letting them drag down the ones who do. Delegate fairly and evenly and hold people accountable to their commitments.

    Pros

Get to get some solid experience in the development and testing world when it comes to software and hardware.

    Cons

No support from management and constant deadlines and demands. No compensation for the work you are asked to do. Company cut corners and asks you to take on another full time job without the compensation

    Advice to Management

Work on treating employees well and offer a decent bonus.

    Pros

Mostly nice people who mean well and want to do their jobs well - though the bureaucracy adds a heavy weight to getting things done.

    Cons

Would you prefer well meaning co-workers or competent ones? If I were building an org, I'd prefer competence. i get the sense that Zebra does not have a particularly talented recruiting pool to choose from.

Large organization, very heavy and bureaucratic. This place is the opposite of a startup environment, so be ready to play politics, to deal with egos, and to sit around for a while before things actually get done. i.e. If you are used to being an individual contributor that can push through on your own to get things done, then this is not the place for you. I worked with more blockers than can-doers, usually due to petty politics or sheer laziness.

Comp is below average with no bonus structure for most positions.

    Advice to Management

Create better incentives and a more fulfilling rewards structure for those outside of sales.

    Pros

    Amazing coworkers. Friendly, accommodating atmosphere.

    Cons

Job security is very low after merge with Motorola Solutions. Favoritism runs rampant, and "climbing the ladder" seems near impossible.

    Pros

Agile Company that understands the market they are in and how to address it

    Cons

zebra recently purchased Motorola Solutions (read that as Symbol Technologies ) and unfortunately some of their 'small business ' policies aren't playing well. Someone mentioned their poor travel policy (flying coach tp asia). That's not a new zebra policy it's just different than what we used to have at MSI. I understand it is also being reviewed. Someone also mentioned having to fly to Asia on a moments notice. That has nothing to do with zebra it's just the nature of the MSI legacy business.

    Advice to Management

Review differences between MSI and Zebra policy to avoid this kind of culture clash

    Pros

Great work-home life balance for employees.

    Cons

The downtown Motorola office closed thus all E employees will have to commute to the burbs. Zebra needs to put a shuttle system in place if they want to hire young and bright talent.

    Pros

Generally a positive environment. Leader in the industry, which leads to little or no cold calling. Overall on target earnings are fair.

    Cons

Company is under constant change from acquisitions. Due to this your territory WILL change over the course of 18 months, making it difficult to gain any momentum and reach the revenue goals. Company seems in the middle of a transition to move more experienced sales professionals out for younger and cheaper sales reps.

    Advice to Management

Allow some consistency in territories and accounts. Compensate sales reps who have accounts taken from them with opportunities they have worked on for months/years.
