    Pros

The best thing about working with Zenith were the co-workers. They were helpful and good to their clients.

    Cons

The company did not do the right things for their customer base. When they put out an inferior product they did not support it. They really did not seem to care if they lost the key customers who had made them successful in earlier years. Therefore their sales went down dramatically. The company then defaulted on $82m in convertible bonds, and was put into bankruptcy receivership by the Indian Court System.

    Advice to Management

It is too late to give this management team any advice, and they never listened when you did give advice.

    Pros

Great place for a smoker! Their 401K wasn't bad either!

    Cons

There is not enough time or room here to write it all. Examples: USA executive and USA Middle-mgmt is just a bunch of brown-nosing lackeys who got/keep their jobs by telling India only what they were sure India wanted to hear. Verbally abusive to all, and never seen an environment where firings were constantly threatened just as a matter of conversations. They are the most juvenile bunch of can't-find-a-job-elsewhere losers on the planet. All other quality personnel left Zenith with the Continnuum - and they never looked back except to poach friends and buddies still left back at Zenith. Good for them.

    Advice to Management

India Mgmt: Take all of your illegally-gained stock swindles and set up that African-based company we had all heard about. US Mgt: Please stay at Zenith - I wouldn't want to see you as the bathroom attendent at an airport.

    Pros

There was never a problem with pay, and the benefits package was acceptable.

    Cons

The heart of Zenith’s issues is that the company is micro-managed from India. American management has little authority to make important decisions such as product or pricing strategy. They also cannot react to the market trends for fear of reprisal from India. The management style is very autocratic and caustic and bleeds down to every level from the top. Employee feedback is not wanted in any way. Upper management tends to be verbally aggressive, negative, and makes subtle, and sometimes overt, threatening a regular part of reviews. Middle management seems to follow suit for fear of losing their job. It’s as close to a boiler room operation as you could find in the tech sector. One of the problems from this approach is that it results in it taking 1 to 2 years for bad news to funnel up to senior management in India. Ultimately bad news, or things management doesn’t want to hear are hidden until they can’t be hidden anymore. This means it’s always far past the time than anything can be done to correct the downward slide. Management pays lip service to partners, actually lip service is not a strong enough word. Management (and because of intimidation techniques) most line level employees directly lie to partners about things such as availability, pricing, quality, bug fixes, number of employees at Zenith, Resources being allocated to things such as customer service and development, time to get credits back, etc. Bottom line, if senior management in India wants to have the partners told something, they are told it no matter how much of a lie it is. Classic example: At one point in Zenith’s history partners were told (sold) on Zenith’s west coast data center. The data center was actually just a few computers located in the back room of a convenience store. Zeniths’ lies unfortunately have all but destroyed the companies business in America. This can be best illustrated when Zenith bet big on it’s Mirror Cloud / Smart Style product which was not ready for market. Indian management forced the product to existing and new partners. They raised the price of the existing (and reliable) BDR product forcing existing partners to find alternatives in which zenith lost most of their productive partners. The highly flawed SmartStyle product was soundly rejected by the partner base and Zenith is nearly out of business because of it. The entire time this was going on management turned a blind eye to the flaws and losses for fear of reprisal from India. They have since created a company knows as Cloud Founders to market the newest version of the flawed product, but if you were to read the Cloud Founders website, you'll see they are trying very hard to hide the fact that it's very closely tied to Zenith Infotech, possibly a wholly owned subsidiary.

    Advice to Management

Spin off the existing operations in America to private companies that take on the role of master distributors for Zenith products. Makes sure these private companies have American Management. Another option, move current CEO to technical only role and bring in professional management.

    Pros

Fair salary, benefits and paid time off. Coworkers are good people. If you need a day off there is never a problem. Work from home days in bad weather were OK as well.

    Cons

Management is practically non existent in this company and is at the mercy of the CEO. This is not a traditional company by any means. Commissions are not fairly split over all team members. Updates to policy changes and product updates were not often shared with everyone and you had to find out from a coworker or another department. Lack of enforcement to policy and procedure.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be some type of chain of command in the company. Everyone does not to be involved in everything. If there was some level of trust amongst management then things would be more productive. There is also no need to take up 12 hours of everyones week with redundant meetings and reports.

    Cons

CloudFounders-They do not pay on time, they have an unsustainable business model If you are familiar with Zenith Infotech then you will know what you are in for if you deal at all with them, no business expenses reimbursed even when told to submit them
