    Pros

Teams are like a family. There are places to grow within the whole company.

    Cons

The jobs provided can be very draining and overwhelming. No motivation or cheering on to make sure you can get the job done on time or right.

    Advice to Management

Do more things to make your employees love their job rather than have them dread going to work. Make them motivated instead of just command them.

    Pros

There are a lot of good people at the bancorp with good ideas and passion for excellence - I continue to have great connections with these people. Great programs for employee retention - I had a budget to take my team out to lunch on a quarterly basis. Good respect for work-life balance.

    Cons

Exec & Senior IT management in Tech and Operations are not what I would describe as great or even good leaders and they can exhibit terrible communications. At times they seem to be driven more by reaction to audit and compliance instead of innovation or business values. Some would describe this as a very politicized environment.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees, there is actually a.wealth of creativity among the worker bees. If you're in a 1:1 with a direct report, don't multi-task, sorry that should be obvious. Annual Reviews should cover the entire year, not the last 3 months. Imagine a skip-level with the CIO or CTO..... would they condescend to that?

Wide range of information that passes through your position. Great for quick, rapid learning.

    Cons

Pay could be higher, additional traning or moving up has been difficult.

    Advice to Management

Provide proper training for all aspects to obtain proper performance. However that may be

Benefits, but the world we live in has bad benefits all around. They are comparable to most companies.

    Pros

The TOPS organization as a whole has great people.

    Cons

How can the HR leadership team be in HR and treat people like underlings. Is HR not supposed to set the example of being Passionate about People!!!!

    Advice to Management

Take some time to look into the poor example your HR leadership team is setting. You used to have some really good people there. How many more have to leave. You say you care about your employees, get someone in HR who does and sets a good example there.

    Pros

Great place to be if you want to keep your head down, not do any real work, and not be held accountable.

    Cons

What was once the worst benefits package in the industry is now getting worse.

    Advice to Management

Wake up! You are starting to bleed talent in the IT dept. and it's only going to get worse if the economy improves. Anyone who is competent can leave if they want to. You will be left with only the incompetent suckups who seem to be fostered here.
