    Pros

Great consumer brand in Boston. The Zipcar people are sharp, talented and innovative.

    Cons

It's no longer an independent company and is controlled by a large, commoditized parent company that doesn't understand the environment Zipcar operates in. Classic take-over gone wrong story. It's a real shame.

I worked at Zipcar part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The Discount makes the rental rates very affordable.
    Nice Swag

    Cons

    Micromanaging
Very hierarchical despite trying to appear as otherwise.
    Low Pay

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you have a good employee don't treat them like a child. Investigate the lack of diversity and the racial tensions in your offices. You get poor quality brand ambassadors because of the low pay rate.

    Pros

generally youthful workplace despite having Avis take over. Good location in the city. casual dress code. Decent health benefits. Near GREAT coffee

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

please have better training at handling escalated calls. fight for higher pay, we work hard with little reward.
